Red Bananas
Red Bananas
Red Bananas?! Yup, they’re a real fruit. The skin is reddish-purple in color, but the inside of the banana is not very differently colored. The color of the inside of the banana can range from a light cream to a baby pink. I’ve eaten one before, and they taste almost exactly like yellow bananas, just add a sweet raspberry flavor and you’ve gotten the soft and creamy fruit taste. Other than the color, the only noticeable difference is that they are only a little bit bigger than half of a yellow banana. They also have the same curved crescent shape as a banana.
Red bananas are imported from Asia and South America, because that’s where most of the red bananas are grown. They are favored in Central America, but many people throughout the whole world eat red bananas.
I like to eat red bananas, and if you want to try them, you can go to almost any supermarket. A specific one is Whole Foods, because that’s where I get my red bananas. You can also fry them, bake them, and put them in salads. Go ahead and try them, they’re delicious!!
