Prometheus

Article posted May 21, 2012 at 02:06 AM GMT • comment • Reads 213

I f I was Prometheus I would say that depending on what I am doing, I sometimes think things through befoer I act. I thought it was a good thing to give humans fire. I didn't think about what Zeus might do to mebecause I did it. It is easy to do something that you think sounds good at hte time and not understand what could happen later.

Where our taxes should go.

Article posted April 22, 2012 at 10:07 PM GMT • comment • Reads 352

What should the goverment spend our money on? I believe that the payments we make every month should go back to our community. It needs to go to our community servants, repairs to our roads and buildings, and local school districts. Our money needs to go to the people that save the local's lives. That's why the community servants. School districts and their teachers should all be equalized so that all schools have high quality teachers and materials. The money should also go to fixing our local roads so driving is safe. These things are what the government should spend money on the most.

Attitude is Everything

Article posted February 6, 2012 at 12:10 AM GMT • comment (1) • Reads 472

In "The Victor" by C.W. Longnecker, the idea that attitude can change everything is told. I agree with the author for several reasons.First, the poem talks about believing you can't do something and so you can't. Once I thought I could never beat a video game so I gave up instead of trying. The second reason I agree, is about believing you can do something and so you can. Like when I thought I could run the whole four miles in PE and I did. THe last reason is I believe even though you may not be the best at something, if you try the hardest you sometimes win. For example, our football team was not the best but when we tried our hardest we were winners. I agree with the poem "THe Victor" that attitude is everyhting.

Needed

Article posted December 11, 2011 at 09:41 PM GMT • comment • Reads 437

What I couldn't live without is my family. My family is an important part of my life. I love them and in return they love me back. They are always there to support me. My answer would be completely different from Scrooge in the beginning of A Christmas Carol. At the end, he has a change of heart and his answer would change. His answer may become similar to mine.

Mystery Train

Article posted November 14, 2011 at 01:24 AM GMT • comment • Reads 488

I feel that a train would be the perfect closed setting for a mystery. Noone can leave the train. There are many different suspects. The shape of the setting makes it difficult to watch everyone. There are many different hiding places, like other compartments. The high speed of the train adds to the adrenaline and excitement of the mystery. The scenery outside the train should be a dark, desolate area. The perfect closed setting would consist of these details.

Fear Factor

Article posted November 1, 2011 at 01:26 AM GMT • comment • Reads 421

I feel fear can make you do a couple of things. It can motivate you to do something you would not normally do. That could be to do something crazy or something brave. Fear can also hinder you. It may stop you from doing something like going into a haunted house, or trying anything new. You have to decide which way it will affect you and hopefully for the best way.

The Adventures of Charles

Article posted October 6, 2011 at 04:17 AM GMT • comment • Reads 442

"Charles" is my favorite story. I like this story for many reasons. One reason is it is very ironic. I find it to be ironic because Charles turns out to be Laurie. I also find it funny. I thought it was funny when he told his parents about what was going on at school. For example, when he had to get his mouth rinsed out with soap for cussing. For these reasons, I thought "Charles" was a good story and would like to read more stories by Shirley Jackson.
