The Road Not Taken
by Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Lost Generation
by Jonathon Reed

I realize this may be a shock but
'Happiness comes from within'
is a lie, and
'Money will make me happy'
So in thirty years I will tell my children
they are not the most important thing in my life.
My employer will know that
I have my priorities straight because
work
is more important than
family
I tell you this
Once upon a time
Families stayed together
but this will not be true in my era
this is a quick fix society
Experts tell me
Thirty years from now I will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of my divorce
I do not concede that
I will live in a country of my own making
In the future
Environmental destruction will be the norm
No longer can it be said that
My peers and I care about this earth
It will be evident that
My generation is apathetic and lethargic
It is foolish to presume that
There is hope.

And all of this will come true unless we choose to reverse it.

This poem is kind of like the poem "Lost Generation". Both are about challenge. They''re about how when you have to make your own choices in order for things to get better. They are both poems about how, if people make challenging choices, things will change.

"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both." Whenever I have to make a challenging decision that may or may not change my life, I wish I could see what would happen for each decision- travel both paths. Since I can't, I sometimes make the choice most people don't- the path asking for wear.

"Lost Generation" is a poem about how our generation is going to ruin society- unless we choose to reverse it, in which case our generation will improve society. Our generation will hurt society unless we choose to change it, in which case our generation will make society better than ever.
