Budget Priorities

The government is spending all this money on things that we don't really need to have. If you look the oil production and oil use we are the country that uses alot more oil then what we produce. Some countries produce enough for themselves to use and we produce alot less than what we use.

First, our economy isn't all that good. Alot of people are in debt or in foreclosure. Our whole world is falling apart and most of our governmenet won't even pay attention. So many people want this beatiful world to last forever and the way things are going right now, it dosen't seem like we will get that far. With the health care in the U.S and all that bad gunk things aren't looking to good. The government needs to pay attention to these things.

Also, so many families are losing there houses or they are losing money on their house. A house that some bought 10 years ago won't be the same price as now. The prices have dropped in houses and increased on gas. We need to fix this nonsense!

In all, everybody knows that economy needs to improve. Everyone can have their contrbution, if you help out your community or recycle more even though it won't debt it will help by keeping our world the way it is supposed to be.

Are professional athletes paid too much?

Article posted April 4, 2012 at 02:22 PM GMT • comment • Reads 333

Do you someone that gets paid 95 million dollars to sign a piece of paper.I didn't think so, but if you think about it some athletes get paid way to much to play something that they enjoy. Even though they contribute alot to the team they should put all that money to a good cause.

First of all, there is Tim Tebow a Broncos quarterback, people make fun of him and all but he really dose some good stuff. It was in the news that he used some of the million dollars he had to build a school in Africa. That is a way to help our world instead of keeping the money to themselves. I thought that was very generousm he even helped build it too.

Second, I'm sure it is nice to have all the money but you can still live the rich life and give back. If you think about it enough is enough, players of all sports should consider to give some money to a charity. They should pick a charity and donate their time or a small portion of their money to help out.Coaches are the problem too. They are the ones giving them all that money.

Finally, everybody has heared about the Peyton Manning deal.95 million a year, seriously what can one person do with all that money. Who can live with all that money? That would be a pretty nice life to live if everybody was a millionaire even a billionaire.

All together that is alot of money that goes to just one person. With all these examples I think we can all conclude that athletes are paid too much.

Holes in my sidewalk

Article posted February 7, 2012 at 02:59 AM GMT • comment (1) • Reads 492

Some holes in my sidewalk are lying or always thinking in the past. It is important not to think in the past because you won't be able to get to the future and experience new things if you don't forget about your mistakes that you might have done in the past.
Obstacles are just like holes in the sidewalk you can't just around them or try to jump around them you have to think of smart ways to get across. You can't try to always concentrate on the obstacle that are in your way because you will will get stuck and won't be able to concentrate on things that are important and that matter.
Lying is a way to dig yourself a big hole in your sidewalk. As soon as you start a lie the lie gets bigger and bigger a soon enough people will get mad at you and you might lose some friends. It is never a good idea to start a lie with your friends or family or anyone for that matter. People will look at you like a liar because once you lie they will know that you lie so people won't trust you as much.
Finally, never commit to something that you can't keep your promise on. You can't say that you are going to do something for someone and then you say you never said that or you aren't going to do it that just isn't good.
In conclusion you shouldn't do things that you think that might get you trouble or in argue wih someone that you don't want to fight with.

What Matters?

Article posted December 8, 2011 at 12:40 AM GMT • comment (2) • Reads 461

One thing I could not live without is my friends. My friends are very important to me. If I lost any of my friends I would be devestated. THey make me laugh, have fun, and help me through anything.
What matters to me is alot different from Scrooge because he thinks all and only about himself. I think about other people, while he just thinks about himself. What matterms to himm are probablly his servants making sure they do their job so he dosen't have to do any for himself
Friends are important to me because they help me with alot. They help me understand new things and teach me new things. I like being with my friends alot. They make me luagh and we all get along so it is a great time.
If I woke up one day without my friends it would be very hard. I couldnt live one day without any of them. They are like a close family. I hope my friends and I never get split apart.

Mysterious Settings

Article posted November 16, 2011 at 01:25 AM GMT • comment • Reads 58

I think that mysterious setting are the most important part of a story. First of all you don't see any mysterys with a jolly candy store as a setting. It is usually a abandoned library or a haunted house.
In my opion settings for a mystery have to be creepy and scary, like a forgotten prison.THe setting are really imporant because the help shape a story. It also shows how the characters are going to be involed with this setting. They could have nothing to do with it and that is just where thecertain thing happened. They could also have a connection with it, like they know what happened or they are involed with the crime.
Second, mysterious settings get the reader not want to stop reading. The reader might be wrapped up thinking if a character is going to go a palce or not. There can be plenty of different setting like normal, creepy, or just plain weird. Settings like these keep the reader curious
Third, settings are a bug part because without them there would be no reason to keep reading. You wouldn't know what would keep the story going . Without them there would be no person who would live in the haunted house, or the people that work at a supicious hotel.
In conclusion, settings are important to any book not just mysteries. Mysterious settings are even better to keep the reader on the edge of your seat.

Fear

Article posted November 5, 2011 at 06:02 PM GMT • comment • Reads 411

Fear can affect us in many different ways. It can affect our attitude towards something or or a new way we look at something.
First,it all has to do with our personality. It depends on what kind of person you are. Some people can be scared easily and some not so much. Fear can also can make us worry or paranoid about something.
Second, it makes us realize that not everything is not safe and nice. Fear can be assoiated with bullying. You could be scared of a person instead of a thing. Bullying is a part of fear because it can make you feel horrible and terrified of everything.
Third, fear can affect us by facing our very own fears. Sometimes facing our fears can help us get over it.Fear can also give us stress,so it would be best to get rid of our fears.
Finally, Fear is something that no one wants to deal with, even when it dosent scare you it still isnt something people want to deal with

My favorite story so far is "Charles". I like this story because you don't expect a little boy to be fooling his parents in a pretty big lie.
To begin Laurie, the little boy goes off to school.First day of kindergarten and his mom doesn't want him to leave at all like any mom would do but he is sorta ready. When he comes back his parents can't wait to hear about his day. He comes in slams the door and says "Is anyone home?".The parents were trying to figure out how his day went but when they asked something he answer was always nothing. The he says a kid got spanked. Of course they ask why. He says he was being fresh which means smart to the teacher.
Then, the rest of the week Charles got into mor trouble. Some of the things he got trouble for was throwing crayona at the teacher or hitting a girl on the head from the see-saw and made her bleed.Laurie played a trick on his father and called him dumb. When the next week started Laurie came home late running up the hill yelling Charles. He explained that the reason why he was late was because of Charles. He said that Charles was yelling and that they all stayed after school to watch him.The rest of th ewwek was the same of Charles getting in trouble.
In the end at the parent-teacher conferences Laurie's mom was taling to the teacher. The teacher was sayin gthat how they had to adjust in the first two weekes or so.Then Laurie's mom said that the teacher had huge handful because of Charles. The teacher looked confused we don't have a Charles in the kindergarten.Who knows how much trouble Laurie got into but we know that the big lie had to end sometime, right?

Middle Scool can be boring or fun it depends how you look at it. Some kids think it is amazing and others think it is the worst time of their life. To me school it is right in the middle. I like group work and hands-on learning.
First, my favorite thing in school is seeing my friends. It is good to see them everyday so you can catch up on what has been going on with them. We can hang out between classes. At the beinging of the year you get to see all the classes with your friends.
In addition, some lessons could be fun if you acutally know what you are doing and it can be a entertaining subject for you. It will be a lot easier and maybe a good opportunity to learn some important.
Also, school may be boring now but,it is a really big part for your furture. For example school will help you later in life like getting a good paying job and supporting your family. You also get to learn new languages like spanish or french.
In conclusion school is good for you and your future.Just think you will be let out of this jail soon.
