Titanium
Titanium is one of the millions of elements they are. The atomic number from Titanium is 22, the symbol is Ti. Titanium was discovered by William Gregor in the year 1791, but it was until 1910 that Titanium was able to be separated from the compound materials. Titanium is in lots of stuff like paint, rubber, paper, and many others. The color of Titanium is dark gray metal. The electronic configuration is [Ar] 3d2 4s2.
Francium
Francium is an element in millions of elements there is out there in the world. The atomic number for Francium is 87. The symbol is Fr. Francium was discovered by Marguerite Perey on 1939 in France also it was named after France. The electonic configuration for Francium is [Rn] 7s1.
Where can you find Francium? Scientists estimate that there is no more than one ounce of francium in the earth's crust at each time. Since there is so little naturally occurring on earth, scientists must make francium so they will be able to study it.
Yttrium
My last element is Yttrium. The symbol for Yttrium is Y. The atomic number for Yttrium is 39. Johan Galodolin discovered it 1794. Yttrium was named after Ytterby, a village in Sweden. The electronic configuration for Yttrium is [Kr] 4d1 5s2. You can found Yttrium in minerals like monazite, xenotime and more. It’s combined whit europium to make the color red in TV’s.
Where can you find Yttrium? Yttrium is found in oxide in rare earth minerals such as monazite and bastnasite. In the Solar System Yttrium was created by stellar nucleosynthesis.

A New Puppy

Article posted March 12, 2012 at 06:16 PM GMT • comment • Reads 269

March 7, 2012
Dear Mom and Dad,
I was thinking about adopting a puppy. It can be really fun and cheap. It will be great for my grades because if I could read to a puppy for at least 30 minutes every day I could increase my reading benchmark and make it better. Also I could get a better grade in reading.
By getting a puppy I am thinking about the money how much it will cost. Adopting a puppy from an animal shelter instead of buying a puppy from an animal store it will cost less money, because the puppies from the animal shelters have already been abandoned my other people.
When you adopt a puppy from an animal shelter you can also save a puppies life, because when you adopt a puppy from a shelter you are adopting a puppy that have already been abandoned before and some people said that if puppies aren’t adopted they put them to sleep. So please help me save its life!
A puppy can protect the house! For example if somebody is coming a puppy can bark let us know somebody is coming? Then we can make sure it’s not a bad person who is coming. For example those people that come and steal things. So a puppy just would protect me it would also protect the whole family.

After reading this letter I hope you agree with me because I really want a puppy and I promise you I will take of it. Also, I will take him to do his business and other stuff that puppies need to do. I will love the puppy and I will to take care of it. Another reason why I would like a puppy is because one of my 2 dogs died in May 5th, 2011 and I am still sad about it. Well I really hope you buy me a cheap puppie.

Your daughter,
Jennifer Munguia

The dark Forest

Article posted January 26, 2012 at 05:28 PM GMT • comment • Reads 296

The forest is dark I don’t see light. I try to get out of it but it’s to big and dark. I can’t find the light or the exit; I hear something behind me, something following me. I look around but I don’t see anything. What can be following me if I am alone in the forest. Starts to get cold wind pass by my shoulder is to dark I am starting to get scared and feel like crying. I hear a voice saying my name “Jennifer”, “Jennifer” I look around but I don’t see anything I get mad and yell. Then I hear birds singing. This means I am getting close to the exit. I get home and I am better.
THE END.

I look round, I see everything
But what I don’t see are animals
Where are the animals?
I look around but I don’t see any
But then I hear birds singing,
Then I see a deer glancing across the field.

Ben Fraklin Big Ideas

Article posted October 25, 2011 at 04:40 PM GMT • comment • Reads 383

Do you know what Ben Franklin's big ideas were? If you don’t I am going to tell you.
Did you know that Ben Franklin published his own almanac named Poor Richards Almanac? It has a lot of information like the holidays, the weather forecast, when the moon will be full, the sun will be up and down.
Ben wanted to prove that lighting and electricity are the same. He proved it by putting a rod on the top of a tower and let a man stand in the tower. Later he called the rod the lighting rod.
Another of Ben Franklin's big ideas was to go to France and talked them into helping the United States fight England.
Those were some of Ben Franklin's big ideas. Do you know any more?
