Do you know about Babe Ruth? Well I do, and I’m going to talk about him today. Hope you enjoy reading my blog.
I’m writing about Babe Ruth because he is a very interesting person, set awards in baseball, and he’s a very nice man.
Babe Ruth real name is George Herman Ruth. That was his same name as his father. Ruth was born on February 6, 1895 and died on August 16, 1948. Babe was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He played for the New York Yankees. Babe Ruth also died in New York, New York. Ruth height was 6’2”. He was the 2 time All-Star selection in 1933 and 1934. He was also the 7 time World’s Series Champion in 1915, 1916, 1918, 1923, 1927, 1928, and 1932. 1923 he was AL MVP (Most Valuable Player). George Herman Ruth Jr. was name the Greatest Baseball Player of the 20th Century.

Hot and Cold Summer

One hot summer Rory, Derek, and Bolivia were in Woodside, where Derek,Rory and Bolivia lived in town. Rory and Derek were good, best friend neighbors.
One day in the afternoon, Rory, Derek, and Bolivia were in Rory’s backyard jumping on the trampoline. After, thirty minutes Rory, Derek, and Bolivia are playing tag on the trampoline and Derek is running around the trampoline getting away from getting tagged and then he fell out the trampoline. He got his foot stuff in one of the holes in the trampoline. He screamed on the top of his lungs. After all Rory and Bolivia got Derek’s foot out the hole. It took them forever to get Derek’s foot out the hole because they didn’t have an adult with them and they weren’t strong enough to pull him.
When Rory and Bolivia got Derek’s foot out, they helped Derek up. Derek said, “My leg hurts,” with a sad facial expression. Bolivia replied, “Which one hurts?” “My left leg,” Derek said. Derek tried to walk to his house right across the street, but his leg wasn’t strong enough to walk across the street. Derek asked Rory and Bolivia to walk him to his house, right across the street.
The next day Derek still wasn’t able to walk on his left leg. His mom asked him, “Do you want to go to the Kids Emergency Hospital?” Yes Mom, Derek relied. While Derek was in one of the rooms in the hospital he was talking about his summer was ruined. They told him that he will start walking back on his leg in 3 weeks. Derek was so angry. The doctors put a cast on his leg. After Derek and his mom left the emergency room, Derek told Bolivia and Rory about his leg. He told them that he’ll start walking back on his leg in 3 weeks.
3 weeks later… Derek got his cast off finally. He was so happy. Bolivia and Derek were playing outside. Derek asked Bolivia, “Where is Rory?” He got sick bad, said Bolivia. “He should be better tomorrow,” said Bolivia. The next day Rory was feeling a lot better. Bolivia and Rory were at Derek’s house. “Do you feel way better Rory?” said Derek. “Way better,” said Rory. Bolivia said, “Do you want to go on the trampoline?” with a smile on Bolivia’s face. “No, I don’t want to get hurt again.” Derek replied. Everybody had a great summer & Everybody had a barbecue cook out and had a great time!

I’m going to talk about why racers must have two pounds of food per dog. Racers must have two pounds of food per dog because everybody can have the same amount of food and it doesn’t have to be unfair. It’s also about weight, making sure all the weight is even.
There is a checkpoint. A checkpoint is for making sure the dogs and racers check into, so the dogs and racers can start the race. The dogs and racers also go to the checkpoint to see if all the dogs and racers are okay and that there aren’t any injuries.
The ice and snow is so cold for the dog’s feet, racers check their feet to make sure all of the dog’s feet are okay. The racers check the dogs because the racers want to make sure all of the dog’s feet don’t have any cracks in their feet.
Do you know how many miles the dogs run before they get to the half-point? I know… the racers race 79 miles to the half-point, then wait 10 hours at the half-point and then they race 79 miles back to the finish line! The racers wait 10 hours at the half-point because the racers want to check if the dogs don’t have splits in their feet, they eat, and they have to get a little bit of rest!
I hope you learned about the Jr. Iditarod, and how racers and dogs stay safe. I also learned a couple facts about the Jr. Iditarod, and I hope you learned from me. Thank you for reading by essay about the Jr. Iditarod!

A Trip to Nebraska

One cold nice morning Hattie and Otto went on their old nasty wagon and traveled to Nebraska. The terrain was very bumpy. The horse kept on making sounds and they were very cold, the wind kept on blowing extremely hard.
3 months later… Hattie and Otto finally got to Nebraska. They were so excited. When they got everything situated, they went hunting. They were extremely hungry. They went out to the woods to find food. They didn’t want to walk because they were already tired. So they walked to the woods and found food. Then right when they started leaving, Otto heard of a snake. They looked around for the snake and Otto got bite. Hattie and Otto ran to their house and told their neighbors and told them to call the doctor. Otto couldn’t run but he ran as hard as he could to get back to their home. When the doctor came to Hattie’s and Otto’s house, Hattie started screaming, “Help my husband, he got bite by a snake by a poisons snake”. So the doctor told Otto, “I’m going to have to suck up the poisons” and the doctor said,” Is that fine? “And Otto said,” That is fine “.
After the doctor sucked all the poisons out of Otto’s leg, Hattie was wondering how she was going to pay the doctor. Hattie was thinking she can sell the jewelry Spencer put in the box and Hattie can give the money to the doctor. Hattie checked the box and it was empty. So she wondered how she was going to pay the doctor.
Hattie was still thinking how she was going to pay the doctor. There was a knock, she opened her door and it was neighbors. When Hattie opened her door her neighbors asked,” Are you okay Hattie”? and Hattie said “No” and the neighbors asked,” Why?” “I don’t have enough money to pay the doctor because of what happened to Otto” said Hattie. Hattie and Otto’s neighbors said, “Its okay, I’ll pay the doctor! Hattie was so happy at that moment!
I know that Otto and Hattie will make it through this difficult time.

Dear Beckwith Family,
I hope you guys are doing well and I hope you get this letter soon!
You’re not going to believe this… when everybody woke up for breakfast, we all looked in the box that we put our food and drinks in. There was dry food and rats eating it. Also the drinks were busted some how. It was a disaster. My mom said, “How did the drinks bust” and I said, “I don’t know, that’s weird.” “And how did rats get into the box when it was locked.” Everybody stayed quiet. We all were starving for food and drinks.
At first there was a little storm while my entire family was on the boat starving. All of the sudden lightening began to strike, the thunder boomed and the ship began to shake. My entire family looked like they wanted to vomit and faint. We were all extremely tired!
The next day we all woke up late. We went to sleep at 2:30 in the morning. 4 months later… A couple of months we woke up when it was the day time. I was extremely tired so I went to sleep. 1 hour later… When I woke up I went to the back of the boat and as I was watching the water, all the sudden I seen leaves, birds, and trees. I went to look for everybody I told them “we are going to land” and they went to the front of the boat and they looked down and they started seeing leaves too. The boat stop and my entire family looked up and they saw sand. My family was so excited! My mom was happy and crying because she didn’t think we can make it. Right when I and my mom got off of that boat she gave everybody a big lovely hug!

Ben Franklin had some big ideas. I’m going to explain to you a few of them. I think you will enjoy this essay.
Ben published his own Almanac. He published it in 1733. It talked about holidays, weather forecast, schedule of tides, when the sun came up and went down, when the moon will be full, and when to plant what.
Franklin wanted to prove that lighting and electricity are the same. Ben knew electricity was attracted to iron rods. So Ben discovered by putting iron rods on top of the sentry box and he proved that lighting and electricity are the same.
Ben Franklin helped during the revolution war. Mr. Franklin went to France and talked them into helping the United States. France helped Ben Franklin fight England because France and England don’t like each other.
Ben Franklin was a very good gentleman. He did wonderful things. Maybe without him we wouldn’t have won the revolutionary war. Now I have told what Ben Franklin’s Big Ideas were.

My story will be written to entertain the reader. My story will have comedy, drama, action, and adventure. My group is thinking about having a wolf. My group is inspired from a TV show. We are thinking about a girl shooting a bow and arrow at the wolf as well. There is also going to be a mother, dad and aunt probably. I cant wait till you guys read it.

Do you know what Ben Jonson meant when he said William Shakespeare was not of an age, but for all time? William was not known just for that time but for all time. William was popular in the 1500’s. William Shakespeare was alive during the age of poetry. People still read William’s plays. People also watch the plays that have been made into movies. William Shakespeare will never be forgotten.
