Sophia -- Uncle Dock and Rosalie

Chapter 1
Narrator: Sophie
After Uncle Dock comes back from the walk with Rosalie he said, “Rosalie, said she needs to go to Spain to do something important.” We all said, “Go get her back! Isn’t she important to you?” Uncle Dock said, “Yes, but she is already too far. It is too late.”
Chapter 2
Narrator: Cody
Poor Uncle Dock, he can’t go get Rosalie. Or can he?
Chapter 3
Narrator: Sophie
Cody just told me that Uncle Dock could still get Rosalie! I asked but how? He said, “We can get back in the car, and go to the airport!” We agreed and told Uncle Dock.
Chapter 4
Narrator: Cody
Sophie and I agreed on my option, told Uncle Dock, and he said yes!
Chapter 5
Narrator: Cody
We got in the car and drove to the airport and only Sophie, Uncle Dock, and I left. If we waited one more minute, we would have missed Rosalie.
Chapter 6
Narrator: Sophie
Uncle Dock convinced Rosalie to come with him to go back to Bompie’s house. She said, “No, if you want to be with me, you have to come with me to Spain.” Uncle Dock said, “Yes, yes! I’ll do ANYTHING to be with you!”
Chapter 7
Narrator: Cody
I can not believe that Uncle Dock said that he will go to Spain with Rosalie! Uncle Dock went to go buy a ticket to go to Spain. I wonder if they are going to get married. I hope he comes and visits back here.
Chapter 8
Narrator: Sophie
I have not written in this journal in a long time. The last time I wrote we were going to the airport to go get Rosalie. But now, Uncle Dock is getting married to Rosalie! Their wedding is going to be in Tangier, Morocco. We left from England to Tangier in an airplane.
Chapter 9
Narrator: Cody
It took about 1 day and 4 hours to get there. But it was fantastic! Also we met some awesome people along the way.
Chapter 10
Narrator: Sophie
They FINALY got married! I can’t believe Uncle Dock and Rosalie (Aunt Rosalie)! I hope they live happily ever after!

Oh, Rosalie
Narrator is: Cody
After Uncle Dock comes back from his long walk with Rosalie, Rosalie does not return with him. Sophie said, “Where is Rosalie?”“Yeah” I said. “Where is she?” asked everybody else. Uncle Dock said, “She is gone.” “Wait where is she?” I asked. Uncle dock said again “She is gone.” “Gone.” “Gone.” Gone.” Bompie knew exactly what Uncle Dock was talking about. “Where did she go?” asked Uncle Mo. “She went to Spain.” Uncle dock replied. Bompie said, “Go get her. Go. Go.” Bompie said. Uncle Dock said, “It is no use she is gone. She's going to Spain and her plane leaves in 20 minutes.” “Did you propose?” Sophie asked. “Yes. She said it was too soon.” “What do you mean too soon? You have been looking for her your whole life.” said Sophie. The argument continued.
The Argument
Narrator is Sophie
Uncle Dock, Uncle Mo, Uncle Stew and Bompie all got in an argument. Uncle Mo was saying, “It’s just a girl get over it.” Bompie kept on saying, “If you love her than go get her.” Uncle Stew said, “Go you only have 15 minutes ‘til her plane leaves. Finally Uncle Dock was motivated and said, “Wait here if I don’t come back get The Wanderer and come to Spain!” Off he went to get the girl of his dreams! Until Cody stopped him and said “Wait take my dog log and write in it and then, give it back so that I can read about your adventure to Spain!”
The Flight Attendant
Narrator is Uncle Dock
Off I went to the airport to look for the lovely Rosalie. It feels weird writing in this dog log as Cody wanted me too but here I am at the airport. I saw Rosalie in the airport and she didn’t see me but she was already getting ready to get on the plane! I ran towards her and tried to get in but the flight attendant didn’t let me on! I begged, I pleaded, I bribed and then she finally let me on! I knew bribing would work! I got on the plane and sat next to Rosalie. She was so happy but yet she was embarrassed because she said, “No”, to my marriage in the first place. We got off the plane. It was quite awkward at first. I noticed Rosalie wanted to tell me something. When we arrived at the hotel in Spain Rosalie exclaimed, “Dock you are the love of my life, I will marry you!” I stayed in shock for a couple of minutes but I realized Bompie was right. Mission accomplished!

This short story is about Dock and his journey to find Rosalie. He has to travel on boat with his father Bompie. This is the story of Dock when he stayed in England. I hope you enjoy it.
It was a nice summer morning when dock went to go fix the Wanderer. He needed to fix the holes, the mast, he needed to replace the GPS, the radar, the ham radio, and he needs to fix many other things. So he bought a waterproof GPS, a new ham radio, and a radar machine. He is fixing the holes on the boat and is starting to fix the mast.
It has been 2 months and he is ready to sail, he is getting the supplies ready when Bompie says, “are you sure you are going to go?” Dock says, “I have to because Rosalie is in Spain and I have to go get her.” “Fine”, says Bompie as Dock climbs the boat he says goodbye to Bompie. He sets the sails and is off. He has started his journey. He is almost in Spain because he can see land. As he stops at the dock he gets off and goes and finds an inn. He gets his things in his room when he gets a call from Bompie he said, “Dock get over here to England because Rosalie is here!” “What!” Dock said “I thought she was here in Spain.” “No she came back yesterday but you were still sailing so I had to call today.” “I will be there soon I’m going to get on a plane.” Dock got on a plane to England as fast as he could.
When he arrived he hailed a taxi and told him to take him to Bompie’s cottage. When he goes in and asks Bompie “where is Rosalie?” “She is getting some groceries” replied Bompie. “She will be here soon” “ok” said Dock. When Rosalie arrived Dock ran and gave her a big hug. Then he knelt down and pulled out a ring he said “Rosalie oh Rosalie will you marry me?” Rosalie replied “yes yes a million times yes.” Everyone was happy, at the wedding Dock and Rosalie lived in England and everything was good.

Have you ever heard the real ending to the book called The Wanderer? At the end when Dock and Rosalie meet each other at Bompie’s place. If you read the story but haven’t heard the real ending then you should really read this.
It all started on a warm sunny day at Bompie’s house. Every body left except Dock. Dock was visiting Bompie after they left when Rosalie knocked on the door and came in. Dock was so happy to see her. When Rosalie saw Dock she was so happy too! They knew right away that they had to get married. So they did.
They both lived happy together for years. They had a baby boy and named him Docky. But, later the next year something will happen that changes their whole lives, and the babies too.
One day when all three of them went out a mile away from shore to look at whales.( It was their first time doing it). They waited hours and hours to see a whale. So when they were about to leave a huge whale came out of the water. Rosalie was amazed so was the baby but Dock was not really impressed. When Rosalie turned around and saw Docks face so screamed out “I cannot believe you are not amazed I think you do no0t like whales any more so I HATE YOU!!!” After she said that she picked him up and threw him in the ocean. The whale ate him.
So that is the real ending to the story The Wanderer. If you have not read the book you should read it than see if my real ending is better than the stories.

Chapter 1: Starting Over
While Sophie and them left, Uncle Dock was still working on the Wanderer. It needed a lot of work. The wheel was still broken from when Cody hit his head on it. On the side of the boat there were cracks and the mast was broken. So Uncle Dock had to stay.
Chapter 2 Back Again
Two months later dock finally finished the boat. He was about to go sailing out to find more adventures. Uncle Dock paid someone to take care of Bompie but he decided to say good bye one last time. When he got there Bompie had died from old age. He was sitting in the house devastated when Rosalie showed up.
Chapter 3 Why!!!!
She didn’t think Dock was there. Uncle Dock said, “Why?!” She said come take a walk with me. Dock said ok. She told him that she had to go and talk to someone about her father; he was in a car accident. She went there immediately. He was going to be alright. Uncle Dock said why is it to soon to get married? Rosalie said I don’t know I guess I was under pressure. Uncle Dock said, “Will you marry me?” She said, “Of course I will!!”
Chapter 4: The Journey
Uncle Dock asked her if she wanted to go on the boat with him, she said yes. So they went to Italy to get married. Then Uncle Dock stopped by Sophie’s house. He told her that if it wasn’t for you I would never found Rosalie. He asked if she wanted to see them get married. Sophie said of course. So they sailed to Italy and got married.
Chapter 5: Adventures
So Rosalie and Dock made there own stories and sailed on the Wanderer to find new things.

Have you ever read a book called The Wanderer? At the end of the book, Rosalie decided to leave for Spain instead of marrying Uncle Dock. This is how I would have ended this story.
It was a lovely day and Rosalie and Dock decided to go for a walk. They walked and walked in till they came to a bench. They sat there watching every thing around them. Then, Dock turned to Rosalie. He asked her to marry him.
Rosalie said that she had important plans in Spain. She was visiting her family there and that she had to leave for the airport tomorrow. Rosalie decided to go home, leaving Dock sitting alone.
When Dock went home, he made a big announcement. “I’m going to the airport tomorrow.” Everyone was surprised. After Dock explained what happened, everyone agreed to this idea.
The next day, everybody left early. When they arrived at the airport, the planes haven’t taken off yet. They look around and around but no Rosalie. Finally, they spotted a woman with a bright yellow dress. “Rosalie!” Dock said running towards her. “I’m coming with you to Spain! I bought plane tickets!”
Everyone was shocked. Plane tickets?! How did Dock get those? Dock said he got the tickets without anybody knowing. Soon everybody was on the plane and Dock was with Rosalie.
Later
Thunder storms have gathered and it’s suddenly raining. It looks like it’s raining harder every minute. It was nice and sunny and now it’s dark and stormy. This is very odd.
Later(again)
The PLANE! It’s starting to tip and wobble. IT”S STARTING FOR THE GROUND! Down, down, down, to the ground. Everyone was shouting and screaming. Down, down and CRASH! The plane crashed…..
Nobody survived………………………………………..Nobody………

One fine windy day all of the crew was aboard The Wanderer. Rosalie is aboard with them. Dock invited her when they were on that one walk. If you didn’t know, Dock loves Rosalie. Everybody was just having a good time when they heard a very loud BANG! They went outside to look.
Cody was the first one to notice something very peculiar. He shouted, “THERE IS A GIANT TENTACLE HITTING THE SHIP!” Sophie started crying and she fell off and screamed, “THE GIANT TENTACLE IS EATING MY FA----“They couldn’t hear her anymore.
Brian started panicking and yelling, “ONE DOWN!” When Brian was running around screaming like a little girl, he accidentally pushed Cody off. Cody went down and yelled, “THAT IS DEFINITELY NOT A TENTACLE! THAT IS A----------“He was dead, too.
Brian felt so bad that he just said, “I HAVE DISCRACED MY FAMILY!” He then jumped off. The tentacle then rose up. It was not just a tentacle. It was giant sea monster! Everybody was panicking when Dock finally said, “GET DA BIG TENTACUL!” He was so scared he wasn’t talking right.
Uncle Mo jumped off and kicked the sea monster but it did nothing. He died. Uncle Stew tried to throw a chair at it but it just used the chair to pull him in. It was just Dock and Rosalie now. Dock was panicking because Rosalie was crying. He decided it was time to do something. He didn’t do anything though because he couldn’t without dying.
He saw the sea monster rise up and then he heard somebody talking. Was he hallucinating? No, the sea monster was talking. The sea monster said, “I was just trying to knock on your door. Everybody tried to kill me. I was just going to apologize for sending that huge wave your way. It was an accident from a pool party. I’m sorry for everything. You can stay at my 5 Star Hotel, The Sea Monster Paradise.” Dock asked nervously, “Where is the hotel?” The sea monster said, “In my stomach. The others are already there.” Dock said, “Tell them I’m coming.” Rosalie said, “IS THIS HOW YOU TREAT A WOMAN?!” She called a whale, jumped into his blowhole, and lived there forever. It is a pretty nice place, actually. It has electricity and everything. The crew of The Wanderer stayed at the hotel while the sea monster took them to Bompie’s house.

Hello, this is Lucas blogging and today I’m going to be writing how I think Uncle Dock’s ending should have ended in The Wanderer by Sharon Creech. I will be writing in Dock’s point of view in chapter form. I will start right after the walk with Rosalie. I hope you enjoy reading.
Chapter 1
Thank the lord! I’m so happy! While I was at Father’s house Rosalie and I went on a walk and she proposed to me. First I thought it was a little awkward for a woman to propose to a man but who cares! I will be with her forever. We will be leaving in one week to Alaska to get married.
Chapter 2
Wow! Alaska is so wonderful and I’m so happy with Rosalie. We just got married and I just found out we are having a baby boy. We’re going to be naming him Eli. He will be born in November and we will be living in Spain because Rosalie was offered a job to be a skydiving instructor. It pays great and I will be giving sailing lessons. Sophie and her parents will be living with Bompie and we will visit every summer and next year we all plan to do another boating expedition.
Chapter 3
Eli is wonderful. He brings so much comfort to my life and we have finally settled in Spain. I love my job and so does Rosalie. Sophie is coming in a week to visit. Hopefully we can go on a short trip and sail to Portugal and this time we will be a lot more cautious. Everything is perfect.
Well, I hope you enjoyed reading a more positive ending to the Wanderer and thank you so much. I thought the Wanderer was a very good book. Please feel free to comment.

Chapter 1
Uncle Dock came back from his walk alone. We asked where Rosalie was and he said “Gone. She’s gone.” We were all terribly confused. We asked why and he said “She has important plans in Spain and she cannot miss them”. “Did you propose?!” Sophie asked. “Yes I did, but it was useless. She said it was too soon”. “You’ve been waiting for her your whole life!” Brian Exclaimed. “I know”. Uncle Dock said. “Well what are you waiting for? Go, go after her”. Sophie said. I really wanted to come but Uncle Dock wanted to go on his own. I know I can convince Uncle Dock to let me go with him. From then on Uncle Dock’s mission began.
Chapter 2
I pleaded, I begged, I did everything I could to go with Uncle Dock to go to the airport. Finally I succeeded! We are on our way to the airport. I’m really excited. I’m asking Uncle Dock what he thinks of going to the airport, but there is still no answer.
Chapter 3
We arrived at the airport; Uncle Dock and I are running, running as fast as we can to look for Rosalie. The flight attendant tells us that the plane has already left. I saw Uncle Dock’s face drop, his mouth wide open and his eyes as big as boulders. He sat down crying. The flight attendant asked to talk to me in private. She said she needed to tell me some really bad news. The plane had crashed and nobody had survived. I had to tell Uncle Dock.
Chapter 4
“Uncle Dock have a seat. I need to tell you some really bad news.” I said. “What she’s dead!? I’m probably never going to see her ever again!” replied Uncle Dock. “Yes, I’m sorry to break to you Uncle Dock but she is dead.” I said to Uncle Dock. “What?! What?! Your trying to tell me that she left to Spain and she is dead?! This is impossible, what happened?” Uncle Dock exclaimed. “I’m so sorry. The plane crashed and I don’t know what happened from there.” I answered. Uncle Dock stayed in silence.
Chapter 5
As we were leaving the airport Uncle Dock ran into a woman. “I’m so sorry!” They both said. They laughed. I knew there was something going on between Uncle Dock and the woman. I left them alone for a while and went to go get a snack. When I got back Uncle Dock had asked her to dinner. I was flabbergasted by this! I’m glad he met another woman. I was glad because if he wouldn’t have he would be crying over Rosalie. Later that night Uncle Dock came home with a big smile on his face. We were all happy from Uncle Dock!
