My Golden Dog

By Jack

Inside my golden dog, the thunder of his speed

Inside the thunder of his speed, the bright park of his dreams

Inside the bright park of his dreams, the seaweed green carpet

Inside the seaweed green carpet, the paws running like the wind

Inside the paws running like the wind, the playful grin

Inside the playful grin, my golden dog

Dog

Playful, joyful

Running, growling, loving

Likes having belly rubs

Puppy

Jack

Funny, happy

Running, swinging, dancing

People like hugging him

Me

If I Were in Charge of the World

If I were in charge of the world I’d cancel vegetables, Friday the 13th, shots and Justin Beiber

If I were in charge of the world there would be cleaner toilets, brighter mornings, and golf holes 5 feet closer

If I were in charge of the world you wouldn’t have sad, you wouldn’t have mad, you wouldn’t have “I HATE YOU”, you wouldn’t even have hate

If I were in charge of the world frozen yogurt would be the new vegetable, I could watch all movies and a person who forgets to sleep would still be allowed to rule the world

I Am

I am the dog that barks at a siren

I am the sunshine that heats the air

I am the blue sky that reflects in the sea

I am the red fire that cooks marshmallows

I am the lake that sparkles in the sun

I am the air that pushes through the sky

Like the sunshine I am bright

I am alive

I am there

Blue

Blue is the shade of the sweet morning sky

Blue is the rain that drips on your head

Blue is the gas that is Uranus and Neptune

Blue is the water that covers the earth

Blue is the cup that holds my pencils

Blue is the shade of Sean’s eyes

Blue is the color of Bob’s nose

Blue is the color of the chair in the living room

Red

Red is the color of Nick’s cup

Red is the color of Michel’s shirt

Red is the fire in the fire place

Red is the rust of mars

Red is the color of anger and embarrassment

Red is the Phillies team color

Red is the ribbon of Bob getting in second place in the Global Monster Project

Red is the lava of a volcano

My New Year’s Resolution

By Jack S

My New Year’s resolution for school is to pay more attention in class. I will do this by not doodling in my notebooks and by having better eye contact with my teachers and classmates.

My New Year’s resolution at home is to practice soccer. I will do this by kicking a ball around with my dad.

Community Comparison Haddonfield vs Franconia

By Jack

Today I will be sharing my research about Haddonfield NJ & Franconia NH. I think Haddonfield & Franconia are similar but also different in some ways as well. I Skyped and used the Internet to get my information.

There are many ways that Haddonfield, New Jersey and Franconia, New Hampshire are similar. First, they are in the same time zone, Eastern Standard Time Zone. They are both in the United States. Finally, they have a similar climate. It is quite cold in the winter and warm in the summer months. Those are some of the similarities between Haddonfield, NJ and Franconia, NH.

I will now discuss differences between Haddonfield and Franconia. First, Franconia is a different type of community. They are rural and we are a suburb. When we look out our window, we see plains. When they look out their window, they see mountains. That is why Haddonfield and Franconia are different.

It was totally fun to Skype with Mr. Ferguson’s class who live in Franconia. Thank you for reading my blog!
