Amulet

By: Chloe

Inside the crystal bracelet, the wild sea

Inside the wild sea, an amazing sandy land of fish

Inside the sandy land, blasting green plants

Inside the blasting green plants, tiny racing fish

Inside the tiny fish, surprised fear

Inside the fear, the crystal bracelet

Jellyfish

Beautiful, dangerous

Floating, stinging, drifting

 Stings things a lot

Moon jellyfish

Cake

Sweet, desert

Baking, icing, eating

Cake is very good

Yum

If I were in Charge of the World

If I were in charge of the world

I’d delete little brothers over 5,

Boring math lessons,

The feeling of pain, and

Leafy vegetables

If I were in charge of the world

There’d be more marshmallows,

More fun,

And less school

If I were in charge of the world

Candy would be a vegetable,

Every ting would be free for kids, and

The ruler of the world would get

anything she wants.

I Am

I am the fish that shines in the light

I am the sun that makes a day

I am the cloud that covers the sky

I am the black that covers the shark tooth

I am the mist that forms at the end of a waterfall

I am the orange that covers a sunset

Like paint I am colorful

I am alive, I am alive, I am alive

Once there was a shark

It could bark

It liked to play in the park

It is hot

I bought a pot

I found it on a lot

Once there was a piece of meat

His name is Pete

He was cooked in heat

White

White is the surprise in oysters

The empty clouds in the sky

And the ice cream on a hot summer day

White is the marshmallow bouncing around

The color of a blank page

And a zebra without stripes

White is the cold of  snow

New Year Resolutions

By: Chloe

My New Year Resolution for school is to clean my desk more. To make myself remember I will leave a note on my desk Thursday, I clean it on Friday.

My New Year Resolution for home is practice cello more. To make myself remember I will do it after my home work. Those are my New Year Resolutions.

Community Comparison

Haddonfield vs. Winnipeg

By Chloe

Today I will be sharing the research I did on Haddonfield and Winnipeg, Canda. I skyped with Ms.Nairn’s 2nd grade class in Winnipeg. Then I looked up the information I did not know on the Internet. I think Haddonfield and Winnipeg are similar and different.

Haddonfield and Winnipeg are similar. They are similar because they like to do most of the same things like soccer, game consoles, football, kickball and other games. Also Winnipeg is in North America like Haddonfield. These are the similarities between Winnipeg and Haddonfield.

There are also differences too. Winnipeg is in the Central Time Zone and we are in the Eastern Time Zone. They have a different climate; it is a cold winter, and a cool summer. Ours is a hot summer, and a mild winter. Those are the differentness between Winnipeg, Canada and Haddonfield.

I enjoyed researching and comparing Winnipeg and Haddonfield because it was fun. There are differences and similarities.

Thanksgiving

By CS

Thank you

For all my hands can hold-

Coconuts brown,

And cupcakes sweet,

Candy colorful,

Pizza yummy,

Potatoes awesome,

Sugar!

Thank you

For all my eyes can see-

Fall trees,

The blue sky,

White clouds,

My frogs,

My fish,

My dog,

Dresses sparkly,

Me in the mirror!

Thank you

For all my ears can hear-

Birds chirping,

The sea calming,

Music (pop),

My frogs,

The rain.

How to Make Monsters Earrings

Written by CS

Making monsters earrings should be easy to make if you know how to draw drop dead skulls.

You will need

·         White paper

·         Red and black markers (or colored pencils)

·         Scissors and glue

·         Yarn (any color)

1.       Draw 2 skulls with the black marker on the white paper (don’t color it in!)

2.       Cut them out with scissors

3.       Color them in with the red marker colored pencil or marker

4.       Cut 2 2”pieces of yarn

5.       Glue one end of each piece of yarn to the blank side of the skulls

6.       Put them where ever you want enjoy!
