I read The Titan’s Curse by Rick Riordan, and I really enjoyed reading it. It had a lot of different themes, but the one that popped out at me the most was teamwork. Girls and boys had to go on a quest together. They had to work really hard to get along, because the girls before were never aloud to even talk to boys but now they have to. I really liked the book and without teamwork, then the book wouldn’t of ended happily

It was built in the mid-13th century, in an age when the Scottish kings were battling to overcome the rioting province of Moray further north. Kildrummy guarded the main routes from the south as they converged, before being funneled northwards into Moray and Buchan. It was 30 miles west of Aberdeen. The castle was built in the 13th century to the design of St. Gilbert de Moravia. An enceinte castle, it consists of a semicircular courtyard enclosed by curtain walls set with five round mural towers. The largest was the Snow Tower. The Kildrummy castle belonged to Robert the Bruce.

Yes, I think professional athletes should be good role models because people look up to them. They can play very well but what really matters is how they act outside or inside the sport. Playing well isn’t just the only thing that people judge about.

Pedjudice Today

Article posted January 13, 2012 at 03:12 PM GMT • comment (1) • Reads 244

Prejudice can happen anywhere at any time and any place. It is just another form of bullying. Anyone can be mistreated and it is wrong. When I read the "Scholarship Jacket" I didn't really think about it happening at school, and I especially never really thought that adults would do it. Prejudice is terrible and it needs to stop!

If My Name Could Be Anything………

Well I like my name just the way it is, but if I had to choose then my name would be Monica. I’ve always liked the name, and it’s Greek for advisor. I don’t really think about it that much, but I do like the name a lot. My last name would be Brooks. Monica Brooks, yes I like that. I think that sounds like a really cool spy name. “Now I’ll never get to go to Paris=http://” sobbed Emily.

“Why are you crying?” said someone.

Emily didn’t look up and started mumbling.

“Well why?”

“Because I’ve been dreaming of this trip to Paris my entire life, and now I can’t find my best friend, and-“ Emily stopped for a second and gazed up. To her surprise Annabelle was standing right there!

Emily was practically jumping up and down. Maybe they could make it after all. They rushed past everyone in one big blur trying to catch their plane.

Finally, they reached the attendant that asked for their tickets and were soon on board the plane.

“Do you remember what to do in the airport?” Her mother asked.

How Would You Design The Library Of The Future?

Article posted September 30, 2011 at 02:34 PM GMT • comment (1) • Reads 983

Hmmmm…….. all the possibilities!!! I think it would be cool if the library had all the books ever written in the world. I would design it like a huge castle like the old-fashioned libraries back in the day. When you walked in the front doors there would be the iPad, and you could type in whatever book you thought of. Then, you could reach into the slot near the front desk and you would find that book. . It would have giant stained glass widows, and huge double doors in the front of the building. There would also be a courtyard in the back of the building where people could read outside. It would be filled with all the beautiful trees and flowers you could ever imagine. I would put a gigantic loft right in the center of the building for the children’s’ area. It would have life size stuffed animals, beanbag chairs, swing chairs, and any thing else you can think of for a chair. There would also be this room that you could go in that changed to whatever setting you think is relaxing so you can concentrate better. You could also press a button that would make show you what is happening in the book you are reading. When you leave the library a light above the door will scan your book and tell you when it’s due. I can’t wait to build it=http://

What Is Prejudice

Article posted September 16, 2011 at 02:34 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1021

What is Prejudice?

Prejudice is judging a book by its cover. I wish it didn’t exist though. I don’t like how people judge someone by the clothes they wear or how they look. I think it’s unfair how they do that, but honestly I did it too. There were lots of girls like that at my old school. They tied me in to judge people, and I still can’t believe I even thought it was right. Looking back I will never, ever do it again. I know how they feel because I’ve had a lot of lies whispered in my ear, and have been judged by how I look. I hate seeing people being judged like that and I hope one day it will stop.

My Story

Article posted September 9, 2011 at 02:13 PM GMT • comment (3) • Reads 1014

My story is everything that makes me, me. I’m about to turn 12 this month and 12 years ago I was a baby. I lived in a little house, and wanted to explore all the time. When I was a toddler I was about the same always looking, learning, and listening. Then, Ashley my little sister came along. I wasn’t too happy about giving up most of my privileges and attention away just because of some baby. The next year was my first day of school and I was sooooooo nervous. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade followed. Now I’m 12 and I’m in 6th grade, learning more and more, and growing in God and Jesus everyday

The Best thing About 6th Grade

Article posted August 26, 2011 at 02:35 PM GMT • comment (4) • Reads 1161

I think the best thing about 6th grade so far is the fact that this is a Christian school. At my old school we weren't allowed to pray, wear things that show our faith, or even talk about our religion. I think it is soooooo cool that I get to go to a school that encourages Jesus instead of outlawing Him like I'm used to. I just think it is sooooooo awesome to be able to go to a Christian school.

I also like that we get Mac books. I think it’s really cool that we get computers to work it’s really different from what I’m used to. I’m having sooooooo much fun in 6th grade so far=http://=http://=http://!!!!
