We are a Yr 3 and 4 class and we live in an active volcano.... really! We love our city, with its geysers, mud pools, and thermal swimming. We love to find out about our country and the world, and are learning about blogging.

One day I would like to be an olympic athlete

London, so big and flash

Yelling and screaming in the crowd

My favourite athlete is Valerie Adams

People watch the olympics on TV

I loved the opening ceremony

Champions, one, two, three

Shot put, so big and heavy

My Creative Writing

Charanchasor
Today I was walking home with my friend Polly. We got to the park, we stopped, we froze just like statues.
There it was, the one and only Charanchasor. Polly and I quickly ran into the bushes. Polly decided to grab some sticks and throw them at the Charanchasor. The first stick she threw at the Charanchasor went right into his big disgusting mouth and he gobbled it right up. But then he started to come over to us, so Polly and I started to run away as fast as we could. But we were too exhausted, so we had to stop… BUT! It was right behind us. All he wanted was to be our friend. Polly said “Please do not hurt us,” struggling to talk, but then the Charanchasor said “Of course I will not hurt you. People think I’m really mean and vicious but I’m not. I’m actually really nice and kind, all I want is to be your friend. That’s all I want, okay?” Polly slowly said “Okay then, you can be our friend, but you cannot tell anyone about this, okay?” The charanchasor happily said “Okay then, I will be your friend and I will not tell anyone about this.” And they all walked to the park, laughing the whole way there.

Trenches

Article posted April 29, 2012 at 04:41 AM GMT • comment • Reads 137

Dear Mum and Dad and brothers,

The trenches are so uncomfortable. I can barely sleep at night because of all the noise. I am so scared because of all the bullets being shot all over the place.

I really want to come home but unfortunately I cannot get past all of the shells going everywhere. I thought I'd never say this, but I really miss your cooking!

Tell Kaleb I said Happy Birthday.

Lots of hugs and kisses,
Love from Briana.
