My book is called Garglejuice. My story is about some aliens and a little baby that is getting his baby teeth and he had to go to the dentist. The baby loved sucking on the alien's fingers.

It was a long windy night. Spike the dog heard a glass smash in the kitchen. He heard the cat meow, meow and meow across the road. He heard it again. Meow, meow and meow!
Spike was alarmed. He went to have a look and nothing was there so he went to sleep. In the morning he noticed there were no cats around. He went over to his friends house. He asked, "Do you know where the cats have gone?" "No," he answered. Spike heard a noise under the house. He went around the corner to investigate. He found eyes... their eyes glowed. They lit up like lightbulbs. Spike said, "I'm going to see what's going on. These kittens are too young to be left on their own!" He told the kittens not to wander off and left them some milk.
Then he walked across the road and there he saw one cat strolling down the path a few metres away. He yelled, "Hi, do you know where the cats are?"
The cat replied, "I have seen a person with a red nose, Rainbow hear, big rainbow shoes and and a white face. Then he remembered that the circus was coming to town. He said,"Thanks for the help." And raced to his house and waited until the morning. The morning came and the day began. Spike ate breakfast, drank some water and then he ran as fast as he could to get to the circus. Once he got there, he saw that they were shutting the door. He ran faster to get in the door.
He stopped to have a breath. He turned around and saw the cats doing great acrobatic moves from the circus roof. After he saw that the cats were ok, he was very happy.

Maria Tutaia - Someone I Admire

Maria Tutaia is famous for netball. The first team she played for was the Auckland Diamonds, during the National Bank cup. She is 25 years old. She was born in 1987, the 18th of February. She is 6ft and 2 inches. That's tall! Maria is my favourite netball player because she never gives up. I have been to one of her games in Rotorua. Her team won 20 games out of 25. Maria plays goal attack and goal shoot. Maria Tutaia got into ANZ Championships in 2008. Maria has been playing for the Magics for 2 years. Maria Tutaia got into the 2005 World Youth Championships. She got into the Silver Ferns in 2005. All of her team received gold medals. They won these at the Melbourne Commonweath Games. She had a great time against England on the 15th of October 2009. Maria had a smile on her face for 6 days straight.
I am inspired by Maria because she never gave up when people discouraged her during her games. She didn't listen to them and carried on. This encourages me to never give up even when I feel sad.

Mobile Phones ... Should Kids Have Them?

Persuasive writing: Mobile Phones for kids is the question!
I strongly believe we should have mobile phones.
There are three main reasons to support my argument...
Firstly it will help us get in touch with our parents if we are going to be late or need to be picked up from netball or other activities.
Another reason is that we can learn how to use them. It is good for us to know how to use the latest technology. Our future depends on it.
Furthermore parents can call or text us on their phones to let us know if the arrangements for anything have changed. They can be sure that we have got the message about the change of plans.
Therefore cellphones are very important for kids. They are not a toy but a device to help parents not to worry about their children. They can just ring or text them. This will save time and gas money looking for them.

BOOK REPORT
FREAKY FISH
ELEANOR MEECHAM
CHAPTERS: 9
Size: Medium
Genre: Humourous
Other books by this author: Goggle Eyes
What Happens: There are two boys named Richard, Braben and a girl named Canid. The girl was a bully and they did not like her bullying them. The girl and the two boys got picked for a play. Their character for the play was called Freaky Fish. If you want to know whether they manage to get on together, you will have to read the book.
About the character: Canid is a bully and I don't think I would like to be her friend because she would probably be mean and bully me.
Who I think would like to read this book? I think it will be a good story for boys and girls from 9 and up.
