Once upon a time, there lived a jandal wearing duck his name was Fish. He wanted to enter his talking potato, Bob, into the annual pet race.



Nobody thought a talking potato could win a race more likely walk! But Fish was determined to enter his pet Fish trained his pet but never went overboard, he always encouraged and was nice, but not all the pets had an owner like this like the poor Cheetah named Domo and his owner a Gorilla. He whipped Domo and made him run even when he was tired and puffed out. He said if he didn’t win he would send poor Domo to the Dun…Dun…Dun…  Pound.



The next day was the big race, the Gorilla was training Domo to ride a unicycle while juggling potatoes and then for the finale… He ate them.

When Bob found out he was horrified, Fish asked why those potatoes meant so much to him,

Bob replied, “That was my cousin. He was so young ”.



“Today is the big race”, said Fish, “It starts at 12 pm, sharp.”

When they got there, Fish put a collar around Bob. Gorilla put a gold chain with black diamonds on it.

When they were in their places the judge called,

3…2…1…GO!!



They were off Cheetah was off at an astounding  pace but Bob hadn’t moved, Fish kept cheering. Soon enough Domo grew tired and weary and finally collapsed. When Domo awoke the first thing he saw was Bob and he was standing at the finish line! Bob had won and the prize was a pair of solid gold jandal!!



People never underestimated talking potatoes again: D

PS. Domo was sent to Madagascar!

The book I am reading at the moment is called Utterly Me, Clarice Bean. The author is Lauren Child.

I love her books because she writes about experiences that I can relate to.

The chapter is about Clarice's teacher telling them that they have to pick a partner and do a exhibit on the book  or series of their choice. She picks her best friend Betty Moody to be her partner and their exhibit is on their favourite series in the entire world called Ruby Redfort, but before Clarice can tell Betty Moody about her exhibit ideas, Betty Moody doesn't turn up to school that day or the next or the next.          

Clarice gets a weird post card but the name is smudged and all it says is, "Had to leave to Rus" but the rest is ripped off.

That's all I know so far but these are a few questions I have got in my head,

Where did Betty go?

Why isn't she coming to school?

Why didn't she tell her she was going to be away?

Animations are things that make your text or picture fly in or bounce away.

If you have a powerpoint program at your house you can do it yourself.

Rainy Days



Clouds blanketed across the sky,

Dripping drops falling by my side,

Droplets falling down,  down, down,

It pours on everything it has found.

It’s raining cats and dogs,

And guess what now my clothes

 are waterlogged.

There’s a clatter,

There’s a roar,

It sounds like we live on a

beach shore.

Like an angry tiger the rain growled at me,

sounds really, really hungry.

The air is moist and very damp,

definitely not the day to camp.

Bubble, Gurgle, Splatter, Splosh

After this I’ll need a wash.

The rain’s icy fingers caught me in its grip,

This will be a long, long trip.

and he never lost faith for what he believed in.

I also admire him because he was the All Black who brought prayer into the Rugby games.



So that's who inspires me ... now who inspires you?

Kids Need Cellphones!!

I strongly believe young kids should have cellphones.



There are three main reasons to support my argument.

Firstly kids need cellphones for times when they get hurt or need a lift home. They will need to ring their mum or dad.

Secondly is that when they grow up they might not know how to work a phone

but if they learn when they're young they'll remember it. It will be so easy when they grow up to use the latest technology.

Furthermore if they ever see something that they may never see again,

they can easily take a picture on their phone.

Therefore young kids should have a cellphone for safety, educational and recreational reasons.
