On Friday the 5th of August I went to Auckland to go to the airport.We were staying at the novetel by the airport.When we got to the hotel we had to chek-in. So while my parents were cheking-in, my sister and went on the computers that they have in the reception. Then we went up to the hotel room and from our room we could  see the planes take off! When we had dinner we went to the restaurant. On Saturday we walked to the airport (because it was right across the road).

On Saturday the  2nd of July I went to Auckland and we stayed at 2 different hotels. One was Sky City which is next to the sky tower and the other one was the Mercure which is very close to Vector Arena. On Sunday the 3rd of July we went to a place called Tree adventures. They had a flying fox and it was high up in the trees. You would have a harness with 2 carabiners and a pulley.

I went to our class poetry cafe! Only a few people turned up but it was still really fun eating cake and cookies and reading my poems! I helped set up the poetry cafe. It was fun!

The pretty rainbow sits in the sky

While all the clouds go passing by

The seven colours shine in the sun

Brilliant and beaming every one

The colours all gleam and glow as the rain starts to go

The sun shines while the rainbow disappears and starts to fade into mid-air.

On Wednesday the 1st of June I went to the Huka Falls Prawn Farm. We had lunch there and I had prawns. My dad had salad, my mum had prawns and my sister had hot dogs. After we had lunch we went prawn fishing. Some of the people that worked there had drained out some of the prawn pools to use the prawns for the restaurant. No one in our family caught a prawn but my fishing line got caught in the crate that the prawn was hiding in. As we were finishing we heard the bell that told people that it was time to finish because they were closing. So after we had given back our bait and fishing lines, we went to feed the rainbow trout that they had. On the way there they had these fun things to try. They had a wobbly bridge and these diferent height logs that you had to step on to get across, and then there was a rope bridge that I had to go across to get to the other side. Then it came to the trout and they had these ropes that you would pull and there was these crayfish baskets that had crayfish in them. Then we fed the trout all our food and left the prawn fishing area and went home.

I had so much fun !
