MY holiday highlights

MY favourite part of my holiday was when I went climbing because it is fun and it makes me move instead of sitting at home on the couch and watching television! Climbing really inspires me as a sport and I really love it.

MY alien is different coloured.
It has four antennas.
It also has a bone mouth.
My alien has stick eyes.
It also has jelly legs.
My alien lives in the dump.
This alien came to Earth in the year two thousand.
My alien's name is called Super jelly wobble alien.
Super jelly wobble alien can eat anything in it's way.
This alien is not an ordinary alien it's not green like most people say they are. It likes eating and doesn't like being distracted by people.
My alien is healthy and wealthy.

Duffy and the best book in the world

On Friday afternoon the whole school went to the hall to see Duffy theatre.
After that the show started and the characters were Scruffy = Wiremu, Rocky, Emmy, dad, Sonny Bill. Duffy= Librarian.
Marvel = Mum and the best book in the world.
Next the dad of Emmy went to the book store to look for a book for Emmy. Then he ran home, he wrapped the present and went to bed. Suddenly Emmy woke up she was really excited so she went to wake up her dad and she said “daddy can I open it” and her daddy said” yes you can” so she opened it and it was a book.
The key message was It’s cool to read and it’s cool to achieve".
I really liked the show because it was funny and it showed that some people do like reading and some people don’t like reading

Weekly reflection

Stage 5 have been doing measurement for maths.
For writing I have been doing procedural writing.
For PE I have been doing cross country training and football skills.
For spelling I have been doing spelling worksheets and spelling games.
We also learned lots about electricity and how to keep safe around electricity.

My weekend

On Saturday my Mum and I went to hockey and we came a draw against Lynmore Shooters. Then me and my mum went home and got some lunch and then went to Supre and got some clothes, we got tights and a t-shirt and that all cost $76.
On Sunday me and my father and my sister went for a bike ride in the forest and we had a lunch break.
Then we went on to our track we were going to do before our lunch break.
The tracks we did were Tahi on to creek track and then creek track. I wanted to do old chevy but it was on the other side of the forest.
After that me and my father and my sister went to my nan's and had a spa and then we had a drink of juice and then went home and watched The Adventures of Tintin.
I then had dinner and went to bed

My weekend

On Saturday I went to play my hockey and we played on turf 2a and lost 10-1 to Ruamata. But we had seven subs so it was hard for us to keep up with the subing.
On Sunday I stayed at Jessica's house and we ate junk and watched movies all day. Then we went to the market and bought candy floss and hot chips to eat on the way back. Next I went home and read my book and played outside.
After that we went to a bbq and I played on my friends ipad and iphone and watched movies on the big screen.

On Tuesday 8th May, Room12 went to the museum to look at pictures in the gallery. Our leader that showed us around was George and he was excellent for showing us kids around and explaining the artwork. We went to the museum to look at robots or at least learn about robots and fantasty art.
In the gallery we did activities that were fun. The first one we did was pretend we were in the picture and people had to ask questions about how we felt.
Next we did an activity where we had to draw the picture that we liked most and answer questions that was on the paper. Then we were finished and sat down and listened for a little bit.
After that we headed to the classroom and read the instructions on what we had to do. We then did a draft on what animal monster we were going to sculpt with clay.
Soon enough we were on the clay and started making our fantasy animal.
Then I was finished and we packed up and went back on the bus to school.
I enjoyed looking at the artwork.
