We are a Yr 3 and 4 class and we live in an active volcano.... really! We love our city, with its geysers, mud pools, and thermal swimming. We love to find out about our country and the world, and are learning about blogging.

The Trenches

Dear Mum and Dad,
I am terrified. I wish I had never gone.
In the trenches it is very cramped, damp, and cold. Today a Turk almost hit my friend, so I ran out and pushed him out of the way. Then I grabbed my gun and shot him.
I really miss you, Mum and Dad, and I want to come home. I miss my warm bed and my friends.

PS There are lots of poppies that are growing here. They make me feel sad because I remember all the brave soldiers that are dead.

Wet 'n' Wild

Last year I went to Wet 'n' Wild with my parents, my sister my 3 brothers and my niece. I had to get get dressed into my togs. When I got there I went on the hydro slide. I had to sit in a blow up tube with three other people and we went down the slide, the other people were screaming but it wasn't that scary for me. After that, we all went into the biggest pool at Wet 'n' Wild and the waves were crashing and I kept getting bowled over by them. After that, we went to the hydro slide called the Black Hole and my brother Philip was scared to go down because it was so high but I wasn't scared, I just went down. There are so many activities to do at Wet 'n' Wild like the Pirate Playground, the Wet 'n' Wild Zig Zag, the River bank and there is also a Surf Board competition, I gave that a go and it was fun I came 2nd place. We had hotdogs for lunch, they were very good!. I Had such a great time, I would definatly go back there again.
