Finding Food Animals' lives are shaped by basic needs. They need shelter to live in. They need to protect themselves by from their enemies. And they need to find food.
Unlike humans, animals cannot grow their own vegetables or herd cattle: They must hunt for their dinner. This quest for food has caused animals to develop remarkable senses and abilities.A harn owl, for instance, can catch a mouse in complete darkness, using only its ears to pinpoint the faint rusting of leaves.
