Have you ever faced a time when your parents did something because they thought it would be best? Maybe like Tyler Stoudt, when her dad had told her grandparents that she had died with their daughter in a car crash. He told them that because they had never really liked him and believed he was not right for their daughter. He was worried they would take his baby daughter away and never let him see her again
.
Well a time that my parents did something they thought was best for me was when I was taking martial arts. I had been doing martial arts for 5 years, until the company began to not treat us very nicely. It all began on August 5th 2009 the day I broke my arm so bad that I was sent to the E.R twice. Had a cast for two months and had to have pins to keep it in place. this was so bad of a break that I could not attend martial arts for about three months, although I could attend with the previous broken arm i had had previously that summer. When we got are bill from martial arts we found out that they had charged us for those two months although I was not attending. My mom and dad were upset so my mom called the very next day. Soon she got a call from the studio that she had yelled at the front desk person.
After about two weeks of thinking my parents decided to take me out of martial arts. I was upset because my dad had told me that if I earned my black belt he would buy me a car. To me this was just like wishing my life away, I felt like I could never forgive them.
Eventually I pushed it out of my mind and began to try other sports like dancing, basketball, etc. also I realized that it was probably a smart move to take me out of karate. although I still miss it I have started new sports and activities. I guess my parents were right.
