What I think I improved in the 5th grade is math and spelling. The thing I am going to do over the summer is I am going to go to San Diego to go to Lego land and the San Diego zoo.  The zoo there is a big one.   It is going to be fun.  I can`t wait to go, but it's a long ride to San Diego.  I will be tired in the car.

Baby turtles use teamwork to work together to get out of the nesting hole.  People use teamwork to watch over the eggs and bring the hatchlings to the beach.  This is also kindness by the people.

The baby turtles are at risk of being eaten or choking and not surviving.  Adult turtles are also at risk of choking on plastic bags or being tangled in nets.  Each soul is important in helping turtles survive  and keeping the variety of turtles.

  The time I faced a new situation was when I had to go to a new school and I had to meet new people like the teacher and meet new friends and meet the nurse.

The way that I found friends was I went to different classrooms and met the people that were in those classrooms and around the school.

I chose animal testing because I want to see if things are safe.  I also want to make sure that things they are testing will not kill the animals.  I want to see if doctors will not just give medicine without testing or harming animals.   

I think mechanical pencils are better to use because you do not have to get up to go back and forth to sharpen them.  The average pencil can be sharpened 17 times.  Not having to sharpen your pencil saves time and allows you to get work done faster.  Since you can refill the lead, you can use the same pencil all year long as long as you have an extra eraser.  You need trees to make pencils, but mechanical pencils can be made from recycled plastics.  

My mom and dad call me bug or little bug.  They have called me that since I was little because they said I was as cute as a bug when I was a baby.  I liked the nickname because it is so cute it makes me smile.

I think that I improved on math and reading because it does not seem hard.

I would like to keep working on math and reading because I like to read and do math.

We are taking a trip to Iowa to surprise my Grandpa for his 70th birthday.  I think we are also going to go camping in the RV, maybe to San Diego.

I would like to go to Hawaii for a vacation.  I would like to  go to the ocean.  I would eat Hawaiian shaved ice. I would like to see the volcano and watch my brother surf.  i might even try to kayak with my family.  I would like to go because I have  seen pictures and I have never been there.

I like to sing along to country music.  My mom took us to see Trace Adkins last week and it was my first concert.  I really liked it.  Now I listen to him a lot on my iPod and on the radio and sing along.  I like music and sing a lot in the car to the radio.  I only like singing in front of my family, but not in front of other people or on a stage at school.      

I would like to be Annie from the Magic Tree House books.  She gets to travel all around the world.  She is cool.  I want to be like Annie because I like to travel.  She also learns a lot from books.  She gets to travel with her brother everywhere and they meet lots of people and learn about history and things in the past.  I would be able to travel with my brother to all of these places and see so many things.  

I want to be a chef like Rachael Ray.  I like to cook.  I cook corn and macaroni and cheese, but not together.  I would like to have my own cooking show like Rachael Ray does.  Right now I practice cooking with my Mom and Nana.  I think a cooking show would be cool because everyone could enjoy my cooking.
