We have been very busy in this first month of school!   Now that daily routines have been established, we are off and running on the academics.  So far we have worked on the letters Mm, Ss, Tt, Nn and Pp.   In math, we have been learning about shapes, counting, patterns and symmetry.  Everyone is working very hard!

Our class also established a class code of conduct.  Our code includes being responsible, respectful, kind and safe all the time.  

The students are very excited about working in journals.  Personally, I can't wait to teach them Writer's Workshop and get started on writing stories!  All in good time!  Some students have already had the chance to use the Author's Chair.  Ask your child how to get to sit in it and share with the class!
