Elena: "I think everyone should make fresh basil pesto because it tastes very, very tasty.

Paige: "I think our class liked the pesto.  The pesto looked like peas"

Amy: "I learnt that if you are baking you have to wash your hands and that if sharp things are on the bench you don't touch it unless you are asked to"

Rhys: "I liked growing the basil.  I liked picking the basil and I also liked tasting the basil."

Zaqe: "The garlic almost made me cry when we were cutting it."

Shaun: "10 out of 10.  It was awesome"

Ray: "I liked growing the basil and making something with it.  It smelled bad to me but it tasted good".

Here is our second lot of photos of our basil plants.  They are much bigger now.  We are noticing a few bug holes in them, so they must be pretty tasty.  Some of the plants have suffered damage from children jumping over the gardens and pulling out the plants.

Here are the first basil pictures when they had just been planted.... they are so small!

We have spent this term growing basil in our class garden.  It has been super easy to grow!!  We water the plants everyday and they get plenty of afternoon sun.  We are very excited because when they are bigger, we have decided to make basil pesto out of them!
