CH -- The Camping Trip

We had just finished the barbeque we had for dinner and we were sent to the tents we had pitched up when we got there in morning. Most people were a little scared but not me or the members of my tent. Everybody zipped up their tents to make sure none of the teachers are watching and began to whisper to make sure nobody can hear us. Well I don’t know about the other tents but this is what we did, I brought out my torch and I hung it on the small elastic ring that was attached to the tent and out my Uno cards, my friend brought out the chocolate and we had the best midnight feast well none of the teachers realize until the next morning when we had to break up the tent just until Mrs. Noshie came and decided to take pictures when she found out all the chocolate raping my tent members and I began to get worried just until she told “You ladies are going to get great big butts” and we began to laugh.

We went to the campground to pitch the tent. First Coach Wissam told us to use the poles carefully. We pitched the teacher’s tent. He picked kids to help him pitch the teacher’s tent. Then we went to pitch our own tents. After we went to the activity side to play catch the flag. 5A vs. 5D. 5A won on once and 5D won twice.

My Camping Trip

When we went to the ACS camping trip, we had so much fun. We had a 3 hour hike, a campfire, delicious food, and much more. We also played capture the flag and we jogged for 5 minutes. Plus we had a great night. My best part of the camping trip was when some of us started to catch grasshoppers and crickets. We caught altogether like 15 grasshoppers and 1 cricket. Crickets were hard to catch.

ML -- My Camping Trip

I felt the bus coming to a stop; I knew it was time to start camping for sure. (And boy was I relieved)I looked around and everyone had smiles on their faces. As soon as I got out of the bus I smelled the beautiful smell of the ACS campgrounds and I watched the trees swish. First things first, they asked us to sit on the ground in a semi-circle, but many people refused-I was not one of them. As I sat on the floor I felt to thorns going thru my skin, it wasn’t that painful, but It was painful .Finally Coach Wisam came and sat in the semi-circle and he told us the rules of the camping trip, when he made sure that he told us all of the rules, he started to teach us the real stuff-pitching the tents. Soon we all of us went off and we pitched our tents yes we pitched up our own tents. At night we had a big bond fire (It was kind of scary at first because it was windy.)After that we all went to our beds- or should I say our tents .It was bed time, no getting out of our tents, no visiting each other, but we got out of our tents any was. At midnight we all –well everyone on the side next to the fence- got out of our tents, sat on the rocks, and talked, loudly. Soon we heard footsteps we looked to the side and, BUSTED, we saw Miss Noshie walking towards us. We all ran to our tents and tried to sleep. A t three in the morning we opened the big zipper of our tent and we stared at the stars.

Why I didn’t go to Deir’al Oammar

I went to school to go to Deir’al Oammar. Then I didn’t go to the trip because I was really scared so I told my mom I don’t want to go to the trip. My mom said “ok you don’t want to go don’t go”. I didn’t go to the trip.  When I left the school with my mom we went to the café and saw Meera’s mom there and their friends too.

What did I do when I didn’t go to the trip?

I went back home I watched TV.  At 1:00 I went to the dentist he cleaned my teeth it took like 1 hour.

Then I went to my grandmother’s house I did cake that was really nice.  I ate a piece of the cake then I went home to play with Tatiana. We went to pick my sister up from her friend’s birthday. When I came home Tatiana’s brother came to take her home.  When she left my sister and I went to see our dad.

The Camping Trip

When we got to the ACS camp grounds, it took a bit of time for us to settle in. We had a snack then a coach taught us how to set up our tents. When we were done, we played a small game of capture the flag. After everyone got a turn, we started searching for colored rocks. We rubbed the colored rocks against normal rocks, which created a powder. We added a bit of water to the powder which created a kind of paste that we rubbed onto our face. After that we had lunch and straight after we went on a hike. The hike was really long and tiring, but we did find many fossils. Later, we got back to the camp grounds and relaxed for a bit. One of the coaches asked us to watch the sunset. It was amazing. Soon we had an amazing barbeque, and after it we sat by the fire. After the fire we went straight to bed .My favorite par was after all the teachers fell asleep, because I went to all my friends’ tents and we started to tell scary stories and we had a lot of fun.

I heard it was going to be amazing, but I wasn’t too sure. We each got up at 7:00 AM to go to school they wanted us to be at school by 8AM sharp. So we could leave by 9:00AM.When we got to school we had to put our luggage at the bus gate and go too our class. When I reached class everyone was there and they were all so excited (so was I) everyone had a huge smile on their faces. Everyone was talking about the “Camping Trip”. Finally it was time to go we all got in line and headed to the bus gate where the busses were. Everyone got on to this humongous bus and we buckled our seat-belt and we were off! We finally got there after that scary journey the camp site looked clean, beautiful and full of nature! Then coach Wissam started to talk about putting up a tent. Were they serious was I going to pitch a tent? They were serious so we had to put up our own tent and boy, that was scary! We did so many other things that were so much fun like going on a four mile hike (FUN) ,we had a scary camp fire at night and then got ready for bed, well at least they thought that! We stayed up talking for hours and hours and then we were busted! Our teacher came out and screamed so hard that the dogs could hear her all the way in china! So we went to bed from 1:AM to 3AM.And then we were all up again and we were all talking till about 6:AM then finally we all got up! Then in about 3 hours we were going back home to Beirut where I belonged. We played all sorts of activities and then we had to put our tents down . Then we got on the bus and headed home and wow I was tired!

AD -- Camping Trip

We went camping on Monday.  Sleeping was pretty hard judging that there were bugs everywhere and we were sleeping in a tent with 2 people (3 in all) and people getting up at 4 in the morning to “talk”. However, we managed. Day 2 in camping was not one of my greatest days. I fell about three times and scratched my knee.  We arrived at school at about 12 ‘o’ clock and dismissed at around 1 ‘o’ clock.

When we got there, I got super exited! We went there with 5D, we are 5A. We played a game called Catch the Flag, it was really fun playing against 5D!!! But the worst part was when we went hiking for 2 hours! After the hike, everyone was exhausted! The second worst part was when I fell on the rock then quickly tripped on the spikes! OUCH=http://!!!. But the fun parts were when we got to learn how to pitch the tent. Also, when we got to play a game called Bricks. At night, no one slept except a few amount of people slept, but most of us didn’t sleep!  Wow we had a lot of fun! Going camping was wonderful!

MM -- Our Camping Trip

Article posted October 13, 2011 at 09:49 AM GMT+2 • comment • Reads 749

The day we were going to the camping trip we had are bags ready with everything we need. Then we put our bags in the bus gate and when every person’s bag that was going to the trip the bus took our bags to the camp. On the other side we had to wait till the time was nine o’clock. When it was nine o’clock we entered the bus and drove off. When we got there we had to set up our tents and we had a snack. We finished and the person in charge told us that we were going to go on a hike. So we got ready some people wearing shorts and the others pants. Anyway we went on the hike but to tell you about it was nasty for most of people. They didn’t like the hike because there were so many spikes that scratched our feet. The majority were whining and moaning because of the spikes while the others were enjoying their time. After about an hour of hiking all scratched and out of water we were exhausted. We could barely move but we had to get back to the camping grounds. The coaches or in other words the people in charge whenever we would ask them about how much more time is there they would tell us random things. Then after two hours of hiking we got back. We were so exhausted that most of the people went to rest for a while.

In the afternoon we went and made our own face paint. First we went and found three colored rocks. Then we had to use a bigger rock to rub the colored rock on it. After we rubbed the rock we added water to it so it would be moist. Then we put our fingers in the moist powder and we painted designs on our faces. Some of us had spots some people had stripes some had a multi colored faces and beards some of us put lines down our noses some people looked like animals and had stripes on their cheeks and dots on their noses. Then we went back to the camp grounds.

On October ten we went camping with 5D to Dar el Amar. We put up our own tents, we had a bon fire, we made face paint and we went on an amazingly tiring hike! On the hike thorns were everywhere, and they were poking everybody’s legs, even Mrs. Noshie started bleeding! We needed to walk for about two hours, about 4 miles. I couldn’t stand it I started whining, but Reem one of my best friends started cooling me off. We went to a dried up lake and found fossils of, clams and fish. We ran out of water and we got exhausted! I started hearing hissing of snakes, I got really scared! We finally reached the top but oh no we had to go all the way back! Back into the annoying thorns!
But it was an amazing experience!

When I woke up on Monday morning I was excited to go on the trip. So I packed my things and went to school. When we arrived at the camping ground Mr. Wisam showed us how to pitch up our tents. When we pitched up our tents we went for a game of catch the flag, and then I was trying to catch grasshoppers. We played games and had fun putting face paint before we went on the hike. Walking across the mountain was exhausting. At night we made a campfire and gathered around to listen to an amazing story. After that we finally went to sleep and next morning we went home. What an amazing trip it was!
