Robert Frost January 26, 2012
The poem (The Road not taken) is about making choices or decisions. It is about telling you to take the right or correct choice, to follow your heart. This poem has a meaning, a moral a message that you should find. How I make my decisions is that I think really carefully I think for long time not directly here’s an example: I want two toys but I can only get one so I think will I use this toy in the future when I get older or will I just throw it away or will I use The other I think deep and deeper until I know for I’m really sure that this is what my heart tells me I than its true.

Author: Frances Hodgson Burnett
Genre: Realistic Fiction
Level: U
Setting: India and England
Pages: 302
Main Character: Mary Lennox
A little bit about Mary Lennox: she is a self centered person and never really liked anyone then her ayah if I could relate her to someone it would be sort of like Esperanza
Other Characters: Mom, Dad, Ayah, Mrs. Medlock, Martha Sowerby, the red breast bird, Colin Craven, Dickon Sowerby, Ben Weatherstaff, Archibald Craven, Lilias Craven, Susan Sowerby, Dr. Craven
Connections: my connection was that the cholera past in her house and people died a disease past through my house too.
Quote:“ One frightfully hot morning, when she was about nine years old, she awakened feeling very cross, and she became crosser still when she saw that the servant who stood by her bedside was not her Ayah."Why did you come?" she said to the strange woman. "I will not let you stay. Send my Ayah to me. The woman looked frightened, but she only stammered that the Ayah could not come and when Mary threw herself into a passion and beat and kicked her, she looked only more frightened and repeated that it was not possible for the Ayah to come to Missie Sahib.”
Quote 2: “When she awakened she lay and stared at the wall. The house was perfectly still. She had never known it to be so silent before. She heard neither voices nor footsteps, and wondered if everybody had got well of the cholera and all the trouble was over. She wondered also who would take care of her now her Ayah was dead.
Problem: Her parents die and she gets sent across the country to England and does not like it but then meets people and things get better
Summary: Mary Lennox is a little girl who is anorexic, yellow pail skinned and from India. Her mother is a beauty unlike her. Her parents put her with an ayah. Then suddenly, a tragedy happened a disease called cholera invaded the house and things happened!

A Drop of Blood

I am a drop of blood. I have been carried by the veins. I am going to be cleaned either in through the Inferior vena cava or the superior vena cava I was dropped in the superior vena cava with another group of blood drops. We knocked on the right atrium “please help us we feel so filthy we need to be cleaned help us! Help us!” The right atrium responded: “I never get enough of this, come on in!” Right now were inside the right atrium waiting for the tricuspid valve to open. All of us blood drops are pushing and push g and when the tricuspid valve opens we automatically fell into the right ventricle it was do fun! Then an arteries called pulmonary (the only arteries that carries de-oxygenated blood) transported us to the lungs there we got rid of the Carbon Dioxide and we got oxygen then the pulmonary vein (the only vein that carries oxygenated blood) took us to the left atrium and we pushed and pushed and we went down to the left ventricle by the Mitral valve. Finally our friend Aorta a.k.a. (and arteries) took us oxygenated blood all around the body I was so happy to be clean again.

Going out of my room suddenly hear footsteps hear sounds I’m scared.
I woke up in the morning and found myself in a whole different place there’s no one with me I don’t know where I am and why am I here. I call out:”anyone here” no reply I say again this time shouting Anyone Here? No reply again now yelling my head off: IS ANYONE HERE?!?! And of course no reply but then I hear people I walk to the noise I hear scary music like I’m walking into a huge big scary haunted house see a black gate with all these people in costumes but it was so realistic that when I have Halloween In Pennsylvania you can’t ever buy a costume so realistic even from the best costume shop (and Pennsylvania is known for its costumes) it was scary it was a world of Halloween on the top of the gate it said keep out or I’ll kill you and the name of that “place” was apparently Horrifying in the beginning and deadly at the end I was sacred but me with no brain said to myself what heck and I walk in.
Chapter two
On my way in everyone stops and stares at me and then suddenly the music turns off and all those people attack me like I’m there pray. There not people for sure there creatures I don’t what they want from me. I have butterflies in my stomach not in the nervous way but in the frightened way I’m scared I shout out for hp I hear a giggle or two that puzzled me because my friend Ally giggles in that sort of way and when she’s faking her voice goes really low and she can’t help it than to laugh. Then I say Ally I know you’re in there than she laughs her manly laugh and I admits she was in there then I said who else it turned out to be my family and friends and said TRICK OR TREAT

Salmonella is a rod shaped bacterium.
It is found in foods like: poultry, eggs, unprocessed milk, turkey, meat and water. It is also found in animals such as: birds, turtles and rodents (as in mice guinea pigs and hamsters)
If you have salmonella it lives in your stomach. It can become life threatening if it spreads into some parts in your body such as: your blood or bones. It can cause from a mild to a serious infection.
Salmonella usually causes food poisoning but can cause fever, headaches, abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea (not with blood) with stomach aches and stomach cramps.
The bacteria can cause to all ages groups and both male and female. It is more serious to the elderly who have already an infection or disease.
To prevent from getting salmonella from eggs:
. keep eggs refrigerated
.discard cracked or dirty eggs
.discard eating raw eggs
To prevent getting salmonella (in general)
.get rid of pets especially reptiles
. Don’t eat raw foods
.pay attention to cleanliness
. Make sure all cooked meals you eat are thoroughly cooked
.don't use the same knife for a different food while cooking

Science Lab Reflection

“Yay, Yay we are going to see cells,” I said. 9:00 sharp I said finally time to go to the LAB! When we arrived we all sat around the tables while Mr.Barakat introduced himself. After that, he told us to take a cotton bud and rub around in circles on the inside of our cheeks. Then we were supposed to rub it on a slide and drop of methylene blue, then put a cover slide on top and look at it under a microscope. After that we didn’t only want to see an animal cell (as we are considered animals) we wanted to see plant cells.
Mr. Barakat chopped a piece of an onion and with some tweezers he grabbed a tissue of cells, he cut a tiny piece of it and rubbed it on a slide, then dropped a drop of iodine which was brown and placed a cover slide on top. We observed the cells we all did. I learned a lot it was a nice experience for me and I think for everyone else.
It was a great experience, and I’ll never ever forget what I’ve learned on that day.

Presidential Qualities

Do you want a president who is kind, hardworking and not a quitter?
Well then, vote for the right one, the one who has the qualities of being a president the one who isn’t a dictator who’s not fair does not give you the chance to express yourself, someone who’s honest, wise and of course responsible. A good president is the one who cares for his or her people and of course he cannot be racist. He or she should always do the best for their country. To be a president he has to be cooperative and transparent, he should have a vision and help charity and the under-privileged people. These are qualities I’ll be looking for in the president. I expect you’re going to have the same opinion as mine.

Ahhhhhhhhh!! I screamed when I saw the cutter full of red blood that looked like tomato sauce. Slowly feeling my chin with my fingertips all I saw was blood oozing out like a gushing stream.
I ran to my aunt. WHAT HAS HAPPEND?!? She exclaimed. We have to take you directly to the hospital. my heart was pounding fast I looked at myself in the mirror and saw the big hole in my chin I felt like fainting and dropping hard on the floor like a piece of dried log.. Finally, I got in the car with my aunt’s help, my legs were dragging behind me, my body was shaking vigorously I was having a panic attack. I was frightened because this is the only the first time I’ve been to the hospital. On our way we had to make a little stop to the hairdresser to get my mother. The second she came in I started, screaming that her I’m so scared! I don’t want to get any surgery! I want dad! Then she said that dad will meet us there. When I got to the hospital I had to go directly to the emergency room and then all my aunts, uncles, cousins, even my grandma came. Then when I overheard the word "stiches" I screamed
“STICHES!!!? I DON’T WANT TO HAVE STICHES=http://” Why me? I don’t want! I don’t want=http://! But I had to! End of story my mom said some other doctors came and held my head because I kept on shaking, panicked, and my mom tried to calm me down while massaging my feet. About an hour later the operation was almost done. They placed a new clean white cloth on my chin to stop blood from oozing out and I had to change it twice a day, I had two keep it for two months. No physical- education or running.
Still up till now! Whenever I see a cutter all the traumatic memories come back to me, scaring me! I learned my lesson that from now on I have to be very careful with sharp edged tools.

A Friend in NEED is a Friend INDEED

Have you ever asked yourself about friendship or the qualities you seek in one?
Trustworthy and loyal the first two traits a true friend should have.
Trustworthy because for example if you had this embarrassing moment and you only told that friend that you thought you could trust, and he told everyone that’s when you know that that is not a true friend.
A friend should be loyal the one who is there for you not a backstabber but a bystander the top trait of being a true friend is to be LOYAL!
A friend is always kind, nice and of course friendly he or she cannot be nasty, selfish and self-centered.
On the other hand someone who is not a true friend is nasty, mean, a manipulator. He bribes you by saying if you buy me an ice-cream I will invite you to my house eon Saturday or if you don’t give me the ball I will hate you forever. That’s when you know for sure him or her are not your true friends that is not called a friend it is called a BULLY!
Be smart and picky, you do not need to have hundreds of friends around you. It’s the quality that matters not the quantity.

Popping corn, heating food, pressing buttons, turning knobs.
Turning round and round and round.
I’m sweating to death!!
They keep on stuffing me with food and expecting me to keep heating it.
What I hate the most is when they take out the food that I have already heated and argue “the food is so cold” or “I burned my tongue from this hot food.
I love it after midnight when everyone’s asleep, I have more time to socialize and chat with my closest friend the oven. The worst part of my day is when the babies stand on the chair and start playing with my buttons and banging hard on my door. Guys please have a heart! Do you want me to end up in the junk yard where I will be squeezed to death? My favorite part of my life is when the family goes on a long vacation .I will definitely be the happiest microwave on earth.

I'm so excited to go to Deir Al Qamar! I know that we are going to have a great time there. Some of the activities that I know we are going to do are hiking, camping, building a fire. I would be looking forward to find an animal over there not a snake or spiders or anything like that but I want to see a kangaroo and a llama (which I know I won’t find there) but the thought counts!
