 Poetry Red Red is the color of war. And a lion’s roar. Red is the color of anger Red is the color of strawberries. Red is one of the rainbows layers. Red is the color of roses. Red is the color of my cousin’s hair. Red is the color of the horizon. Red is the color of blood. Red is the color of Daniel’s face when he gets mad Black Black is the color of nightmares and disgrace. Plastic bags swimming in our space. My shadow following me. Black is the color of death and a road track. Black is the past and present for an Afghani kid. Black is the color of people screaming. Black is the color of horror. Black is the color of Pepsi. Black is the color of a blackberry. Winning the Cup What’s the opposite of winning the cup? Is it not getting your hopes all up? Crying and sobbing at your pillow all night. Or going outside and flying your kite. Is it running away from your grandma’s site? Or fighting with my brother all night Or is staring at the moonlight. Or having a big zit on the right. What’s the opposite of lying on the couch? Running around and trying to catch your mouse. Or is it standing up straight and trying not to slouch. Maybe it’s your brother hitting you and you saying ouch. Or jumping as high as Peter Crouch. Or falling on thorns and yelling ouch. Is it not lying on the couch.
