*What about Characters* My favorite book that I read this year would be "Someone Like You" by Sarah Dessen. Yes, there is a character that I do not like, Macon. I do not like him because he set a bad influence on Halley. For example, he would smoke and then she started doing that. If I could change anything about him, I would make him a nice guy that understands Halley and her decisions. I think that Sarah Dessen was trying to express her idea of making the right choices. To me, I think that Macon is one of the "cool" guys that you can spot anywhere. I think that she was trying to tell us what a real "cool" guy is actually like. I don't think that Macon's behavior relates to Sarah Dessen's behavior, but I do think that there might have a Macon-like person in her life that influenced her to write this book.
