Welcome to Mr. Ullrich's Blog! This blog is for 8th Grade Earth Science and Physical Science students. We will learn topics such as Astronomy, Geology and Meteorology. This blog will give us a place to discuss, learn and develop these topics during the year. If you are not from our class please post lots of comments!
How Big Are We?
We are VERY small. Compared to Jupiter, the Earth is nothing. Compared to the sun, Jupiter is nothing. Compared to Rigel, the sun is nothing. Compared to V509 Cassiopeiae, Rigel is nothing. Compared to VY Canis Majoris, V509 Cassiopeiae is nothing. Most people don't understand how massive celestial objects are, so check out these videos and you WILL see the magnitude of objects that are huge to us, but only SPECKS WITHIN THE UNIVERSE AND NOWHERE CLOSE TO THE SIZE OF THE UNIVERSE.
