Mrs. Noshie is gone to Bangkok for meetings and workshops. Many teachers also went so very few were left. We had a substitute till she came back. It was someone we knew very well and she worked in the school too. She was the computer teacher, Mrs.B”TUNTUN TONNNNNNNN”. She was like the teacher of the black lagoon. She came in and slammed the door, Fire behind her and her teeth looking like a wicked witch. Mrs.B didn’t read the directions correct so many times that we had to do the next day. They also planned a prank of an alien who can it in class and startled everybody while everybody was screaming a he came near us to make us more scared. We had to write about that instead of staring our second personal narrative and we had to finish that. She made too many mistakes. We had a sugar cube experiment. ”CAN YOU STOP TALKING AND START LISENING TO INSTRUCTIONS. “Yes Mrs.B. Each come get your sugar cubes and a cup from me , NO EATING.” There are too many people talking. ”STOPPPPPPP TALKINGGGGGG.i AM DONE WITH TALKING,BE QIEUT. ”so on many people got frightened and didn’t talk for to hours.

“Honey, how was your day?”my mom asked,“What did you get on your science test?”
I said,”You don’t want to know,”
“Cynthia, get the test right now!”my mom exclaimed.
My mom saw the grade, “WHAT! You got a 52, YOU FAILED.You studied so hard.”
I cried,”Its not so bad, people got less than me, its ok.That’s what Miss. Noshie said.”
“Ok, what was the lowest score?”my mom asked.
“38% see!”I exclaimed.
”Fine your off the hook,”my mom said.
As part of the writing unit on Personal Narratives, students are required to use dialogue in their stories. This involves dialogue tags (the use of a variety of tags and their places) and proper use of quotations marks and punctuation. This short text was the student’s first attempt at writing a dialogue with correct quotation marks and punctuation.

Ramlieh is a mountain in Lebanon. A part of Ramlieh is for the ACS campus. We went for an overnight trip in school. You would think it might be boring, But it is actually fun.
A fun part was paper making. We got tiny bits of paper and put them in a blender. We placed them in the water but because it was in wintertime so the water was icy cold. We put our hands in the freezing cold water to get the pieces of paper and put the pulp on a sheet. At the end, when they dried they really looked cool. They looked like real paper in different colors.
Another awesome part of the Ramlieh, is rock climbing. The harness was annoying. You need a harness because it will keep you safe from falling off the cliff. When you get to the climbing, your heart pumps fast and you have lot of excitement in your body. You need to find the open crack in the rocks to put your legs and hands. When you get to the top, you feel like a huge victory for yourself. “I did it I climbed up a wall, yay=http://”
But archery was the best! The bow was pretty heavy but that’s o.k. When it’s your turn, you burst out with stir. You pull back and “pew” then it flies into the target. That feeling is the best.
The movie at night was also terrific. The movie was called Seven Below. At the end it was kind of sad but because the dog died . Everybody was in bed sleeping at the end. That was a good night.
Ramlieh was fun because we made paper, did rock climbing, watched a movie and did archery. Next time put your GPS on Ramlieh and go. It’s so fun going overnight in Ramlieh. Trust me, it’s the best.

Ohhhh, home school is the best. You stay at home and relax till your teacher comes. Why the big heavy backpacks? You have everything with you at home. Sometimes you don’t even have to wait a year to get to another grade, but school can be better.
For instance, school is better because you can meet new children and new
teachers. You can have SOOOO many friends that you can organize huge sleepovers and parties instead of just a few friends. You can get new teachers in to school which you don’t even know. They can teach you in different ways or in better ways. Friends and teachers are the absolute best.
Besides, you can go outside every day. You might go walking and pass by your neighbors and friends’ houses and go together, or by car. See the early sun and the green trees and the empty roads, even maybe by bus, seeing your friends in the early morning. Also, in school you have recess in a huge outdoor or indoor playground. That’s another reason why school is nicer.
On top of that, you are in big classrooms with your friends and teachers. When your home schooled you mostly work in your room. You might have a garden outside your classroom; even sit right next to your best friend. You might be teachers assistant and pass out papers. Big and specious is better than tiny and always the same.
Now you see why it’s better to get your children educated in schools. You have classrooms, new friends and teachers, and you go outside every day. When you want to choose, think twice. Don’t choose home school.
