Hi people,

I’m reading a great book called Flipped it’s a really great book and I’m almost finished! So far in the book, Juli just want to visit her uncle David how has special needs. It was so sweet hearing about him. Also it seems like Bryce is starting to like Juli because he was staring at a picture of her in the news paper and he kept reading the article on her over and over again.

 

This week I’ve been doing a lot of wondering. This week I wondered if Bryce would go over to Juli’s house to go see her. I also wondered if Juli would ever take the bus to school again. Another thing I wondered was what ostrich meat tastes like. One last thing I wondered was Juli’s dad wanted her to stay home when he was going to visit her uncle David.

 

Anther strategy I used this week was visualizing. I really like visualizing because I can picture everything going on in the book. One thing I visualized this week was I can see Clyde, (Juli’s chicken) breaking beak through the shell first. Another thing I visualized was I could see dogs eating raw ostrich meat out mixed in with their dog food. One more thing I visualized is I can see Juli riding her rusty, old bike home from school. One last thing I visualized is I can see Uncle David walking down the street with Juli and her dad.

The strategy of the week this week is word finding (WF). One saying I found in my book was tackle the yard. I found out that tackle the yard means to tidy up or fix up a yard. One more word I found that I didn’t know the meaning of is pruned. I found out that the word pruned means to cut down to size.
