Germans vs Romans Essay

Article posted May 3, 2012 at 04:54 PM GMT • comment • Reads 445

Overview
We were asked to write a Roman and German essay about the cultural differences and similarities. This essay's format was written in the 5 paragraph format.

5 paragraph essay
Whoa, guess what? Romans and Germans are different. This will compare and contrast Romans and Germans in this piece of writing. This will say what their differences are and how they are similar. This will compare them by saying facts about them and using those facts to find the differences between them.
The Germans lived in a very different way than the Romans did. The Germans lived in a hut that have hitches on the top and had half of the hut because of the animals they farmed needed some place to stay. The other thing is that they made their laws by having people vote on whether or not to have them made final. In the next paragraph it will talk about the roman way of life. The Germans had more of a democracy way of rule and didn’t have the same type of rule the Romans did, what I mean by that is that the Germans had multiple people decide things and maybe even the whole town, when the Romans had the one king/emperor make the decision

Romans had a way different lifestyle than the conquered Germans they had living in small villages. The Romans if they were rich could live in a domus or house with marble walls, colored tile, and heated floors along with pipes that brought water up to the upper floors. The Romans did not ever live in the same house as an animal. The Romans had an emperor that chose all the laws for his citizens. The Romans had emperors as well and roman emperors would make decision based on what they thought and the Germans did not have an emperor or king that made their own decisions. In the next paragraph it will say how the Romans and Germans are the same.

The Romans would create laws and bring people to justice if they broke those laws. The Romans and Germans were also alike because they trained their warriors the same and the training I mean is that they trained them to never run away from a battle. The government is also the same because they would also have judges and have people decide whether someone is guilty or not.

This has compared and contrasted the Germans and Romans and have said and facts. This has said all the things that make them different and what things make them the same. This piece can help you for farther reference or information on the Romans and Germans. This has compared and contrasted the Germans and Romans and has said facts that may help you in a later time.

Letter to Parents

Article posted November 4, 2011 at 02:55 PM GMT • comment (1) • Reads 431

Dear Parents,

Hello parents of mine. I am learning about a lot in math class this year in module 1. I would like to tell you about some of the things we are learning about in math.

This year in module 1 we learned about how to do algebraic problems like : (2-1+ 4)x6= or 11x(1+4)-3=. We also learned about how to do exponents 2 to the power of 2 or 100 to the power of 4. The other things we learned about were like how to find different things on patterns. I also was learning about how to find the nth form of a pattern.

We take a test on all we learned in the module when we finish the module we also take lots of pre tests and quizzes we do them usually after a unit ends. We will have math points due after the test usually. I do a lot of the pattern and algebra ones because they are more math points.

We are learning to solve challenging and unique problems that require a chart or diagram.

Sincerely,
HJPA
