 My First Blog. 6th Grade Language Arts: In LA we have read a lot and done some picture writing. I personally enjoy picture writing. we also have a reading log that keeps track of how much we read each day. Math: In math last week we dug up potato’s and on Monday we weighed them. With our data we are finding the mean median and mode. We are also doing word problems in small groups. I like working in groups. Social Studies: SS has been interesting. We have taken three tests so far and to me they have been easy. We have been learning geography. Also we have made a lot of maps. Life Skills: LS is one of my favorite classes. I love to bake and make things by scratch. I especially like that I have Ms Rafferty for my homeroom. So far I have made salsa and started my pumpkin. Art: Art is my other favorite class because I love to be creative and artistic. We have made ‘plates’ out of linoleum and I have printed mine. I drew a gourd. I think Ms. Vitala is nice. Technical Eduction: In TE we made ping-pong paddles. Sanded them too. Mine is shaped like a star. We also talked about how to use different tools. Music/Band: In music we have used the drums, cups and have practiced reading our notes. Music is not one of my favorite classes. In band (I play the Sax) we have played “Up On The House Top”. I love playing an instrument. Spanish: Spanish is my least favorite class, but I have t0 take it. So far we have taken three tests. Even though I don't like Spanish I still get good grades in it.
