Yo no say
por que la lineas de nazca son madera.

By 479 A.D. German herders and tribes fought the weakening Roman empire so much that there was no longer any empire. Even though these Germans may have lived in the Roman Empire they still had their own culture that was very different from the Roman culture. There are many comparisons between the Romans and Germans other than where they lived. I will be comparing Roman and German warfare, law, and daily life styles.
Roman and German warriors had two very different styles of war. Every German man was a warrior. While some Roman men were warriors, others were government officials or had other jobs. The Romans were much more organized in combat than the Germans. For the Germans becoming a warrior was a tradition and a rite. For Romans it was a choice their culture did not influence at all. Germans had no organized plans or formations while they fought; they would just surprise attack in groups. The reason the Germans loved battle and fighting so much was because many of their gods liked to hunt and fight. In a successful German battle they took cattle, slaves and other treasures. In a successful Roman battle they took land and money. A German warrior’s armor included a dagger, an ax made from metal and stone, light wooden shield and suits of leather. Romans had double edged swords, a lorica, a helmet, a dagger, and a shield. As you can tell the Roman army seems much stronger.
Romans and Germans had two different ideas on law. For the Germans law came from the people. A German ruler could not change a German law unless the people approved of it. In Rome, if the Emperor wanted to change a law he could do it and could kill anyone who argued with him. Germans had no written law. They just based it on of their ancestor’s laws and passed it down from generation to generation. This probably resulted in lots of fights and disagreements over laws if someone misheard it when their parents were telling them or they did not remember all of the laws. In Rome they wrote down their laws on something called the twelve tablets. They would also write new laws for newly conquered areas. They had an organization that patrolled the Empire to enforce these laws. German law was a little more corrupt then Roman law. If there was a wealthy or respected German he would be treated better than others, while all laws applied the same to all Roman citizens.
The German and Roman daily life styles were completely different. A poor person in Rome lived a small apartment in a big apartment building in a city, while a poor German would live in long thatched roof huts in little villages. A rich German would live in the same thatched roof hut, but they would have wall hangings or carpets. A rich Roman’s house was private, had marble walls, colored stone floors, a furnace and small panes of glass for windows. Germans would dedicate half of their house to their animals. The body heat of all of the animals would keep their homes very warm. Romans would heat their homes with either a furnace or a chimney. Roman men would wear togas or tunics and Roman women would wear pallas. German women would wear long skirts made of yarns or a one piece dress that stretched from shoulders to feet. Men wore short woolen tunics and close fitting trousers. German villagers made their living herding cattle which provided food and clothing. They could also trade cattle with the Romans. The women, kids and slaves would farm barley, rye, wheat, beans, and peas. Romans would work in the government as consuls, senate, judges, assemblies, and tribunes. They also worked as soldiers, farmers, traders or gladiators.
The Roman and German cultures were both very different in law, warfare and daily life. While different they were both great cultures that played large roles in ancient history. They both were very unique with their own strengths and weaknesses. The Roman strength was their army. The Germans strengths some say was their hard working lifestyle. Although people could still debate whose daily life/ law was better. Would you rather be a Roman or a German?

1. I did the battle of Thermopylae
2. I think our group divided the work the best we could considering the person in the group who was the typer was sick for most of the classes we were aloud to work on it. Even though it may seem like the work was uneven we all felt that it was fair considering what we are good at. I personally did the 5 w's and some of the writing.
3.I foundmost of my information from ebsco but i also found some from your book and my text book but i did more that i forget about.

Dear parents,
I am writing to you from my 7th grade math class. In this class we have learned about the order of operations, constructing frequency graphs, compute with exponents, use of variables to solve number tricks and much more all in the first module.
We learned how to do the order of operations and I learned there is a certain order that you have to do the order of operations in. This order goes parenthesis, exponents, multiplication and division, and addition and subtraction. A way you can remember this order, it is called PEMDAS or please excuse my dear aunt sally. The first letter in all these words is also the first letter of all the words in the order of operations.
Another thing that we have learned this year in math is exponents. The way you do exponents is you multiply the larger number on the line by itself however many times the smaller number above it. I really enjoy exponents they are one of my favorite mathematical things.
I also really enjoy bar graphs. They are very easy to make. All you have to do is collect information, make a category on the graph and draw a bar showing the up next to the number of data there was. A bar graph is used to compare things.

In Tech Ed we are making ping pong paddles. First we drew our idea on paper, and then the teacher cut about five inches around our picture. Then we drew our picture on the wood which the teacher then cuts out perfectly. After that we do these things to make our paddles look pro but I don’t understand that yet. It’s awesome! In Life Sills we are making stuffed pumpkins. We had a choice of color for our pumpkins, bright or dark, and everyone chose bright. It was a lot of fun to sew the pumpkins and their hats. When we stuffed the pumpkins I stuffed mine so much it went lop sided. It's so much fun. In music we're doing a lot of reading notes and instruments. We have thirty sheets were we write down the notes we see. We do this at the start of class every day. We also usually play the keyboards and make cool rhythms with cups and drums. Surprisingly I don’t think we've sang one song yet. In art we are making pictures that remind us of fall. In my picture I drew a pumpkin colored leaves, ghosts and lots of other things. Our class has a hard time because we act really badly and Mrs. Vatali gets really angry at us so we don’t have much fun. In Spanish all we do really is study for tests and watch movies. Fortunately we do a lot of preparing for tests, so I do better than I would on tests. We don’t have much fun because our class acts really bad and she is always yelling at us. The movies are awesome though. In gym class we are playing basketball where the main concerns are passing, dribbling and shooting. We play mini games where we are being assessed on keeping our eyes up and dribbling with our finger tips for dribbling for shooting we are being assessed on being square to the basket and pointing our elbow towards the basket. For passing we are being assessed on accurate passes and the right pass. We don’t have much fun because we act really bad. In Math we are doing a lot with potatoes and we even went out to the garden and picked a lot of potatoes. Now we are doing a lot of work with the potato’s and how much they weigh and their averages. I’ve learned a lot of Knew tricks on the computer with this. In science we are learning all of the parts of the flower. I didn’t know one thing on the flower and now I am starting to understand it. It is really confusing but if I study really hard over the weekend and know every part of the flower. Science is probably my favorite class. In Language Arts we are reading a book called The Seedfolk and we all wrote our prediction for what we think the book will be like. Now that we read a little of the book I am pretty sure I was totally off. I don’t think this is my strongest class. In Social Studies we do a lot of drawing and working on tests. Now we are drawing and labeling the latitudes, and the North Pole, Arctic Circle, Tropic of Cancer, Equator, Tropic of Capricorn, Antarctic Circle and South Pole. I like Social Studies a lot. In Chorus we are singing a lot of good songs like Doo a diddy diddy dum diddy doo or poor boys on the corner. We sing a lot more which I think is awesome and we don’t get yelled at which is fun. Chorus is awesome.
