What I learned in this chapter is that a base is th oppsite of a acid, I also learned that not all acids are strong. Another thing that I learned is that you get a salt when you mix an acid and a base together. I really liked it when Mr. Phillips showed us the movie about mixtures and solotions. I did not like it when we did the dolsiving lab. How did they make up the pH scale?

Heat and Matter

In this unit I learned how a room is heated by convection.  I also learned how they solve the problem of expanding and contrasting on bridges with the the teeth things. Another thing I learned is that radiation bounces back on metal.  I liked best on this unit is the popcorn lab, where we made popcorn different ways.  The thing I liked the least is doing the test on paper not on Quia. I still don't get how the water curlates in the laptop colling system.

Hello, my name is 36R. I am going to tell you a little about myself. What I am looking forward to in 6th grade, my favorite subject, and what actives I do.

The activities I do are softball, dance, activity days, and home work. Softball is a girl’s version of baseball. I take jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, and River Dance at Lisa Marie’s school of dance. Activity days are like Girl Scouts. My favorite subject is all of them, except spelling. I am looking forward to in sixth grade is Greek Olympics, 9weeks breast, stars, ice cream party , catapults,  Egypt, mummify chickens, division, labs, and novels. The Greek Olympics is a fun thing sixth graders do, it’s like the Olympics. Every 9 weeks there is a breast if you don’t miss an assessment. Stars are rewards for doing good things, every 9 weeks we total up the stars and get prizes. The ice cream party is twice a year, if you miss 3 or less assessments. We build catapults in social studies. We also mummify chickens when we do our Egypt unit. I like dividing in math. The labs in science are fun. Novels are the best in reading!!!

That was what activates I do, my favorite subject and what I am looking forward to this year. I am in Mrs. Nichol’s class this year. I hope this will be a good year.
