We are an intermediate classroom in an elementary school in British Columbia, Canada. We use our blogs as a place to practise expressing our ideas in writing (and maybe even sound, pictures & video when we're ready). We try to leave thoughtful comments for classmates & other bloggers we visit. Comments help us critique our ideas and our writing. They also motivate us to do more thinking, writing, sharing & revising.
You can leave your thoughts on any particular article by clicking "comment" below it. Comments will be published after I have had a chance to read them.
Choose an opinion to argue for, an outrageous one will help give you a chance to be creative and should engage your audience. Write a 1-paragraph argument to support that opinion. Make sure you:
• state the opinion in your topic sentence; GRAB your reader
• Give 3 reasons for your opinion in 3 more sentences (one reason per sentence)
• Use a closing sentence to restate the opinion and bring your argument to a conclusion.

Dog's are good pet's. Dog's make good pet's because thay are loving and caering. Dog's can be traned to do triks and be train to go to the bathroom wer ever you want. Dog can also gard you from intrueder's.Dog's are very good pet's.

My outrageous argument is about HOMEWORK!.
I think homework is bad because homework uses trees, Which give us oxegyen. So think of all the children that go to school, now think of all the homework they get maybe every single day. Think of all the trees they are cutting down for homework. Homework is also bad because it is work which we DO NOT GET PAID FOR doing the homework so we SHOULD get paid. So these are the reasons why I do not like homework.

So my big question is What is popularity?
Popularity? Why does everybody care about popularity? Is it really a big thing? But how do you become popular? Well some people become popular by having special talents that nobody else has like dancing singing and more. And some people make fun of other people just to make them look cooler. Well it really does not make them cooler. Popularity is not a big thing, but sometimes it is fun to be popular as long as you dont be mean to other people. Don't let popularity take over your life its just a waste of time. Some kids lose all there friends cause of popularity. Why? Well they dont hang out or play with their friends.
