Since we get to write about what we want, I am going to write about blogs and how much I hate doing them. I find these blogs to be kind of hard sometimes. The part that makes it difficult for me is we have to write about something that we just worked on. I get bored of writing about the same thing I just spent a week working on. I would rather write about something new or even pick my own topics. I find this more of a boring task. But when something is worth 20% of your final grade you have no choice to do them and put some effort into it. I think more people would like blogs if you could write about what you wanted to rant about, the comments would also be a lot more fun.

In this blog I would like to  talk about how excited I am to be closer to reach this goal. My goal to finish Grade 12. I know I still got lots to do but each day I feel like Im taking a step closer. It's been hard, since I got a full time job and a baby on the way. So is a bit hard for me to concentrate. I got to think positive and that this not only will benifit my future but also my family. I feel very lucky to be able to have time to concentrate on reaching my goal. Im very thankfull for having my family support.  Im not going to lie, sometimes I feel like giving up. But this gives me strenght, reminds me that I can show people wrong and I can do this. I wish I would of appreciated school back in the day and instead of giving up, just kept trying. We all learn from our mistakes and Im glad I got a second chance to invest on my future.

For this blog I decided to write about what we’re learning about. The use of language is one of the most important tools we have. Using our words to express ourselves I think is something that we all should know. It is also important I feel for breaking down information we hear or watch and really think about what tone or what bias the author of a piece may be trying to get across. I think that understanding language allows me to commutate with people differently and at times more effectively to get my point across. My language use has drastically changed. At times I find myself using different language that I normally would have not used and I think that’s helped me a lot to this point.

I wish I stayed in school and graduated so I would not have to go through all these courses later on in life and make a busy schedule even busier.

Well since we can write about what ever we want I just want to say that I don't really care much for blogging. I believe that the thoughts that are in my head should probably stay there just to make sure no one gets offended. Althought I do not really think I am that offensive, I am just honest. to each is own I suppose is one way you could look at it. Maybe I have more to say about things than I don't have to say?

Sometimes people get offended too easily that is one of my inner most thoughts. I was raised in the style of "children should be seen and not heard", so maybe that is why I have so much to say now. Either way I still don't like blogging if someone wants to know what I am thinking I would rather have a conversation.

Write about anything I want? That is tough. I usually like to have some sort of direction when it comes to having to write about something. So I am writing this late Sunday night after a very busy weekend, wishing I of course had one more day to get everything done that I have to do, don’t we all? So I get as much as I can done that is on my list and count down to the next weekend, which is sad, as I am wishing my life away! Sure would be nice if the work week and the weekend would switch and there were three days of work and five days of play. Yep, it’s just a wish, but a good one I think.

Okay. So, for this blog I am just going to talk a little about how I feel about the class and my overall process of this course. Wow! We are over half way done this course and I am extremely proud of myself for coming this far. I knew I had it in me to push and motivate myself. I must admit that in the past I thought I wasn’t capable of doing much without someone practically leading me. I am on my own this time and more confident then ever. I am fully focussed on attending class, doing my work and doing my best on each assignment. I can honestly say… I look forward to English class. I am happy with my mid-term mark and I hope I do a good job with my lyric major assignment. I am pretty shy but I am starting to get more comfortable with the students in the class. Sadly, I still don’t know everyone’s names. I find class to be enjoyable and Jody is a GREAT teacher.

My goals in life are to finish high school, go to university to get a good career, get married and have at least three kids. Those are my main goals. I should be finished high school within two or three years. If I pass this course I will have seven more credits to get. Slowly but surely I will catch up. Once I am done I will meet with my social workers about what kind of career I want. Then I work on the rest of my goals.

I've got to be honest. As well as other people english isn't my favorite subject. I procrastinate a lot when it comes down to doing my work. I find it hard to push myself to do the work because there is always something way more intresting to do. something more important, not so much but everytime im in class I dose off and I don't really pay attention until the end of class. At the end of class I some how become more inspired or persuaded to do my work and I really want to pass this course because it's the only course I need to get my grade twelve. Well im feeling good and it's time to go. I'm inspired to do my work, so as soon as I get home what do I do? I say to myself oh I'm tired I'll do my homework first thing after i get home from work tomorrow. tomorrow comes and nothing is done. Man i feel like crap for not sticking to my word. I'm worried I'm going to fail english for a third time because I slack but i don't do anything about it. Does anyone have any good suggestion for me to just do it???

Things I am proud of doing in 2012. I like that I went back to finish my grade 12 and I am doing everything I can to pass this course it isn’t always fun but I am sticking threw with it. I have a good job that I have been able to maintain. I was able to buy a better car this year. The thing I am going to be celebrating the most this year is going to be in June because in June it has been 1 year since I have quit smoking. I have also got 1 new nephew this year and another one is on the way I am happy to have a loving family. These are just some things I am great full for.

Seeing as how we get to choose this topic, I have decided to write about my senior 4 math class. I just finished working on my career research project (can’t seem to get away from these research projects), I’m also really unsure of the relevance of this in a math class. But what are you gonna do? I ended up doing it based on a Marketing Specialist, because that’s what I’ll be taking in the fall at Red River (Commerce Industry Sales & Marketing). It did give me some valuable insight as to what to expect in school as far as course load, cost, employment potential, that sort of stuff. It has been a long time since I have had to such a project but I feel I did fairly well once it was all done, made for good practice though.

This blog I will right about not having to show up for class after work anymore and not be told I am late, I can actually go home after work and relax. I don’t have to come home around 10 30 pm after school and go to bed at a good time so I am not tired the next day and have to look for a place to hide and sleep. I just hope I pass so I don’t have to re do it again because that would suck money nipples, I would like to get it before my daughter starts in 3 and a half years so she doesn’t make fun of me too, that little terd is already mean to me.

Since we are allowed to write about anything we want, I will write about my vegetable garden. I don’t know if that’s relevant to the class, but since our course theme is power and choices, I would think almost anything would be relevant to that…

Well, this is my favourite time of year because I am hard at work in my garden. It is a lot of hard work, time, and dedication, but the pay-off makes the hours well worth it! I grow so many different things I hardly ever go to the market for anything other than meat! I grow Lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, onions, beets, beans, cucumbers, radishes, potatoes, and the list goes on and on. I also have two apple trees, but those aren’t much upkeep other than picking up fallen apples off the ground before the wasps get at them.

After a long day of listening to people bitch about stuff and pretending to care, nothing soothes me more than getting home to work in my garden. It’s nice to do it alone, and it’s also something that my boyfriend and I love to do together. We have equal appreciation for vegetable gardening. The hobby was passed down to us from his grandpa who was an avid vegetable gardener, and taught us everything we know about it. The taste and nourishment of home-grown garden salads and steamed veggies everyday make me feel strong, happy, and healthy!

I hate flower gardening, I make minimal efforts towards that…  They attract bee’s and I can’t eat them, flowers suck.

Kari.

For this blog entry i would like to discuss how proud i am of myself that i will have finally completed my grade 12 education. For the last 2 years everytime i meet people at the bar, i always feel the need to lie and tell them i have graduated because i feel it is embarassing to admit that i have not yet completed a high school education. From now on i will be able to honestly say that i do have my full grade 12 education completed and plan on attending university to continue gaining further knowledge.

I have no idea what to talk about so i am going to talk about passing this class. I am a very lazy person who procrastinates and leaves everything until last minute which is probably why all my assignments are usually late. I hate school with a passion which is why i need to just get this course over with and never come back ever ever again. I am not a smart person and i use big words in sentences that don't even make sense to make myself sound smart so that's probably why people never understand me and my assignments are all over the place. From here on out i am going to put more effort into my work and work on completing all my assignments and getting them all in... i say this now till it comes to it and a better TV show comes on or my cats lay with me rather than completing my stuff..I am going to graduate no matter what if I can do it after the 5th time in math I can do it English. yay me! :)

For this Blog I'm going to talk about the experience of a Winnipeg Jets Home Game. The Winnipeg Jets had a good season considering it was their first year back in Winnipeg since 1995.
The Jets did not make the play offs due to a poor road record and a poor last four games which eliminated them from play offs. But The experience of being in the M.T.S. Center at a Jets home game is one of A KIND the Electric feeling within the building is UN-describable. For any body who has not attended a home game and has an opportunity to do so i suggest that you go whether you like hockey or not. In all the years i have attended sports events i have never experienced anything like it.

I usually like being told what to do in assignments or anything to do with school, but that's ok. I see a lot of people have been writing about how they are doing in class, so, so will I. I think I've been doing pretty good, the only assignments that I haven't handed in on time are the blogs, so I'm doing it last minuet which I know I shouldn't have because I have lots to do today but it's all being put on hold to finish up my blogs and comments. Overall though I'm pretty confident in my progress in this class, the only thing I was a little nervous of was the exam but one the last day when we had to write I chose a short story and I feel like I wrote it very well and it had a lot of meaning to me because it was something that actually happened to me, so I hope I can finish this class with a good mark!
