For this major assignment I am going to make sure that I use all the things we practised in the class. For example , text to text, text to myself, and text to the world. This assignment is about connections, so I am going to connect to the world and the two texts which we read in the class, the mother and son and on the side walk bleeding. I couldn’t find a perfectly fitting quote for my hand out, because the quote has to relate to my two assignments, so I went Google search it under the power and chooses then I got it.my quote is while we are free to choose our actions, we are not free to choose the consequences of our action, this quote perfectly connect with my two text. When I saw the connection between the assignment and the quote, I thought the third connection option which I wrote about text to the world, now after I see the connections, I am just going to focus how to put it to getter nicely, I will also think about my audience, which I think are going to be parents and their children, since my goal is to tell the parents to take a good care of their children by communicating with them, and given them advices of life, like the poem mother as son, mother did. I will also make sure my work is make sense and I will try to make it more interesting to my audiences to read, by using very easy to read sentences.

So far for my major assignment I have been preparing by reading over my assignment a couple of times to ensure I have a proper understanding on what exactly it is I am supposed to be doing.

To ensure that I will successfully complete this assignment I am making sure to work with the time given to me, and to ask for help when I don't quite understand what I am doing.

I have used my awarness of language to make my writting more interesting to read. I can make connections to the world around me and to my own personal experiences , I am becoming more able to develop my ideas efficiently. I will continue to work on my skills to make my writting better !

To practice for the major assignment, I have read over some of the hand outs. I have also been re reading and editing my work more.
I have also asked for help when I'm not sure about something. I have also taken the time to do some extra research.

Some of the skills that I have practiced are making text to world connections and supporting the ideas that I develop. The small assignments that we have been getting have really helped me to practice these skills. The "Gist Generation" questions have helped me to develop better skills at the text to world connections and how to apply them to everyday life. The "Thank' You M'am" story questions has shown me that I need to better support my ideas and give a little more reasoning as to why I am saying what I am saying and how it applies in a bigger picture.

The responsibility I have taken to prepare for this major assignment is taking the time at home to complete, go over, and review work at home. By doing this I am gaining a better understanding of the skills I need to complete the assignment and a better understanding of the overall theme we are looking at currently.

for this major assignment im going to make sure i explain everything thoroughly and clear. which is what ive been practicing and trying to do in my minor assignments.im gunna go into detail about every little thing but make sure that im not rambeling on about nonsense or repeating myslef. to make sure that i successfully meet the outcomes i will follow along with the rubric and make sure that my work meets the number 4 mark.

For the major assignment, I used all the hand outs we were given and grouped up all the stories were given to choose from and clipped them all together to try and keep it all together and organized. I then chose one of the quotes we were given on one of the handouts and went through the stories, trying to find ones that I could relate to my quote and the subject of 'Power and Choices'. I did a bit of analysis in my essay, broke down the stories a little bit to help better explain how I felt they were connected to the topic. I didn't really write down any meaningful connections and I didn't write to the full length Jody wanted because I kind of came to a loss with what to write and how to write it but once it was all said and done for, I was happy with handed in and have high hopes for a decent mark.

I have been practicing with my organization and length of my assignments. I have alays thought I was very good at speeling and punctuation but I have been improving on those skills by reading over my stuff after I am done them. The responsibility that I have taken is that if I am unsure that my work is not complete I would have my girlfriend check it out to see what she thinks about it. I am going to succesfully meet the outcomes of the major assignment by making sure that I complete all the planning before hand to make sure I will have enough stuff to write 3 pages. I will also make sure by making sure that my idea connects to the texts that I choose and it actually makes sense.

How I have tried to improve myself in writing the major assignment? Hmmmmm well least see, handing it in on time is a start, hahaha but truly what I have done is that I looked over my old writing pieces and did my best to understand what Jody commented on the writeing piece. There are still some things that I need to work on for writing since I want to take classes in university and it is mostly going to be about writing papers and junk like that. So outside of class I have been forcing myself to write out full letters when I text people (yeah I know what a lame thing to do but it has been helping suprisingly) and actually, I hate to say it because it hurts soooooooooo much, read......... But that is what I have been doing to prepare myself for this major assignment and stuff I have been doing outside of class.

Preparing for this major assignment I put things in point form which helps me work with the connections to the text. This assignment has been difficult for me to some degree, coming up with the connections have be good but with putting things in order is the hard part of this major assignment. I feel that my skills have improved for this class and it still will as this class goes on. My resonsibility is to get the work done and understand the ways fully of how to do the assignments in or out of class. I do struggle with some of it sometimes, but I do take the time to understanding it a lot better.

I prepared for the major assignment by looking at how i could form my sentences to make it more interesting. I used words relevent to the project and used other resources to explain my idea. I used abreaviations for words that were either too long or hard to understand to help with the less attentive audience members. I looked for words whos meaning had a similarity for the project and it's text to piece it together better. I connected to texts to my personal experiences with the topic and in detail but not fully. I also connected the text to other pieces of texts that were similar as an example to the original text for more explanation. I connected the final pieces to the world around us and the texts similarities to it for a piece that hopefully explains what i want to say.

The major assignment we got was to realte to a quote and have two storys and one personal connection to the quote. So far I've been re reading it to make sure I get rid of all the spelling errors. I'm also going to make sure it fit better together. I will make sure I re read more times and try to make everything make better sense, I will also make sure I re read all the instructions. Other things I might do is have someone read it before I hand my good copy in.

I preperation for the major assignment Ihave been writing at home a little each night to hoan my skill. I've also been reading one of my husband's university books on MLA to gain a better understanding on how to implament it in my writing ( refferance).I have also read and re read the texts that I will be using for the major assignment.

so far this course has helped me out quite a bit with my reading and writing skills.
I have been going over some of my old work so i can do a good job on the major assinments. like self to real world stuff is going good helping me alot useing the figurative laguage examples is good for me to look over helping me write and understand work and do it more properly.

From past experiences I have learned that it is important for me to spend some time pondering my ideas before I actually begin the writing process. If I don’t give myself this time to really think about my idea and assess my information I find that I run into mental blocks that hinder my writing progress. I know that it is important for me to write down my ideas and that eventually they will all flow into each other. I have always enjoyed writing and like the challenges I face in making my writing better. I always try to include new words in each of my assignments and refer to the dictionary quite often. I carry a pen with me and when I do come up with a phrase that I find will be meaningful in my writing I write it down so that I can remember it and include it in my assignments. I find that the theme of this class, “Choices” to be right up my alley and have personal experience that connects to this theme. I find that this connection is a benefit to me in this class and have been enjoying the written works that we have been studying.

So far, I have completed most assignments with ease.. including language,short text, comprehension, explaining and supporting ideas, and developing ideas of my own. The only thing I am struggling with is the MLA citations. I have taken it upon myself to practice, practice, practice. I am actually looking forward to the major assignment, because i feel I am prepared to take it on! It also helps that our teacher has vast knowledge, and the ability to convey it. I am confident that our first major assignment will be a pleasure to read, I speak of mine of course! Just Kidding class mates!

I really like using some sort of planning chart for major assignments. They really help me put more thought into what I’m going to say and how I should organize my writing. I also like to read over my work a couple times to make sure it flows right. I’ve been working on watching the type of language I’m using in my assignments and making sure it matches throughout the assignment.

I prepared my myself toward my major assignments by study hard.I believe that learning is the key to success, I have improve my knowlegde, skills and now I have ability to relate the written texts ,articles with my own connections and the world's.I will always become more active in class, focus on my school work and leave my personal problems outside of school.I must attend my class every day, I will make sure I don't miss class discussion, homework explanations, class representation, minor and major assignments,complete all my blogs assignments and I will be happy with my outcomes in this course.
