I added the penguin, the whale, the bird, and the seal because these are the animal that I think of when I think of Antarctica. I also think that these animals represent this state very well. I also chose to write Antarctica in blue because I think it represents the water and ice, because ice is a big part of Antarctica. I chose to add waves to represent the weather. Most of the time it is windy ao I think the waves are a big part of this picture.

This is me hiding in the pencil sharpener...I picked this space because i thought it would make a cool place to hide if i was that size. I also like that it looks like its snowing pencil sharpenings. It was very fun to do this project i liked to do it. There were so many steps like tracing are bodies and placing them in the picture. I had to use a thing that makes it look like hiding behind glass. I was very happy with my finishing result. I think it is really cool and I liked seeing everyone else's.

The eye is a very cool thing. One cool thing humans eyes can do is see color. in our eyes we have little cones that let us see color, animals don't have as many cones as us so they cant see color.

As me and my dad were driving, i hear a light buzz, buzz buzz buzz. He quickly picked up the phone and said
"Hello!"
Then my sister said
"Hello!"
my sister then said,
"DADDY WHERE ARE YOU!"
"I'm in the car with your sister."
"Why DIDN'T YOU TELL ME GOSH!"
"Because you were at your friends having fun."
"FINE!'
then she hung up and we drove off.

Hooves hitting the ground, hard as steal, making a beautiful thumping sound. The grass is green and lush making a great beautiful place for the horses to graze. A little circle of of trees that make a beautiful sense. The smell of pine trees fill my nose. The feel of sitting on top of my horse makes me happy.

Living In Space

Living in space can be pretty hard when there's no gravity and tons of thing that can go wrong. You still have to do your regular every day things though like sleep take showers, but you also have to work because its not all fun and games. Astronauts can provide us with some pretty critical information like live-saving medicines and how the Earth is changing over the years. Astronauts can play a pretty big role in our lives!
Hygiene in space is just the same as hygiene on Earth. The astronauts brush their teeth, wash their hair, and take showers! It sounds easy right but in space it's a lot harder! You have to make sure that no water floats away and get in any of the important buttons or electrical stuff. In order to do that you have to vacuum the water of your body as you take a shower, you can't just let it pour down on you. It's not as hard to brush your hair other than its hard to keep your balance when there is no gravity. Same with brushing your teeth. It can be hard to keep up your hygiene in space!
Food in space can be pretty good. When the first people went into space the food was gross, it looked like toothpaste and you had to squeeze out of a tube. For breakfast they have a choice of a granola bar, breakfast roll, pears,a vanilla drink, or coffee. For lunch they have a choice of chicken strips and salsa, macaroni and cheese, rice with butter, macadamia nuts, or apple cider. For dinner the can have, shrimp cocktail, steak, macaroni and cheese, fruit cocktail, strawberry drink, or tea with lemon. Most of the food in space is pretty good!
Can you imagine sleeping in space! It would be uncomfortable, well I think so. You have to strap yourself into a big blue bag, so you won't fly around and hit things. Also, your hands fly up like you're reaching for cookies on a shelf. In space you can sleep upside down, sideways, vertical or anyway you want. I think that’s pretty cool.
I think it would be really fun but hard to live in space. Can you picture yourself in space discovering life saving medicines? Well that's what astronauts do for a living. Their jobs are pretty hard and if anything goes wrong that's about a billion dollars down the drain, and it possibly risks their lives. You have to be pretty tough to be an astronaut. You also have to be smart and brave!

Mr. Gianforte
I learned so much when he came, like how every day people discover new planets! Some of my favorite things I learned about where, How big and how small telescopes can be! Also I learned about stars and planets and how far other planets are from us! We also got to see a cool slide show about orbits and other cool things he taught us about. It looked hard to be an astronomer, but fun at the same time. Also he told us how some days you can't look into the sky and see the stars because it's too cloudy! It was really fun!

Math Letter Module 1

Dear Mom,
This year in math, we learned about Bar and Line graphs. Bar graphs are used to show results and give a visual. Line graphs are used to show information over a period of time. It was really fun to learn about this. We even got to make a few bar and line graphs in school. Now I can help you figure out how to read the ones in the news paper.
After we learned about that, we leaned about Exponents! This was not one of my favorite things to learn, it can be a little complicated for me. Exponents are things like two to the Third power, which would be, 2 x 2x2 = 8 this is how you do Exponents. It could be anything like 7 to the 10 power. Its pretty cool once you learn how to do it, but I'll worn you it can get pretty complicated.
Probability was so much fun to learn about. This was my favorite! Say you have 7 marbles in one bag, 1 black, 2 blue, and 4 white. Say you are tallying the colors, you pick 4 times out of the bag the probability that you would pick a blue marble would be 4 out of 7 percent chance to pick a blue marble. We even got to do a big project on it! It was fun me and my friend took different colored silly bandz. We had 10 blue, 10 orange, 19 yellow, and 10 purple. We picked out of the bag 50 times! It came pretty close to the Theoretical probability. It was cool to see how close it was to the probability because at first I didn't think it would be close but it really was! Me and my friend had a lot of fun making our project and picking the different colored silly bandz out of the bag! Well I hope I thought you a little bit about probability.
We also learned about order of operations, (PEMDAS). So say I have a problem like 1+2x8+6, you would have to have put parentheses around the 1x2 because multiplication becomes first and addition and subtraction go last. So the problem would now look like 1+(2x8)+6, now you would get the write answer for the problem. We practiced this a lot in class and I helped me understand it! It was fun doing the problems and seeing what different answers people got and which were wrong and which were right. Some people got it wrong because they didn’t use order of operations, it was cool to see how different the answers were if you used order of operations or If you did it from left to right. After I learned how to do it correctly it was pretty easy and pretty fun to do! I hope you learned a little bit about probability!
I had a lot of fun learning about math so far this year! I hope this helped you understand a little bit of what we did this year! I had a lot of fun and I hope this helped you!
From,
MRLI
