In this I will tell you why the Virginia plan was important. The first thing is to divide the government in to three branches the Legislative branch would enact the laws, the Executive branch would see that the laws were carried out, and the Judicial branch which would see that justice was done with the law. If there is no level of government it is catastrophic. Because of this it kept the in order. That is why the Virginia Plan is important.
