In our class we recently a Europe project where every student got their own project and did a report on that country. In this project I learned how people live now and in the past of Liechtenstein, land, population and more. Many of the coutries we did not learn about in class but with this project we learned about some of these countries. My country was Liechtenstein, I've never even heard of the country and when saw it I was amazed. Liechtenstein is less than half the size of Rhode Island and thats only a little bit of the project!

Over the past few months our class has been giving online technology surveys, and i'm going to tell you my experience. It started by looking at infographics of other people to get an idea how to make it. To make the infographic we first made a survey on a Google form, where you make questions and possible answers/typeable answers. For example I did my survey for first grade so I typed in a question like do you have an iPad? After I made the questions the first grade took the survey. A few of the things I would have done differently are asking more interesting and less likely questions that would have a more varied result. Example being if you had an email, considering my one friend used a similar question and the result shocked him, considering at 2nd grade, which is who he surveyed, no one had an email but when we were in second grade we did.
In the next step we took are results and put them in a Microsoft Powerpoint. First thing we did was look at an infographic to see how to do a infographic in a powerpoint. Next thing we did was make the powerpoint and add text for the info, title, question, etc. Along with this we used the shape tool to make things like a man figure or woman figure, graphs, and more. Each page of the powerpoint had a different question and results. In the making of the PowerPoint to a infographic we used the method CARP- which stands for contrast, alignment, repetition, and proximity which gave mine and many others infographics better. With all this in mind the infographics give people important or intresting facts in an easy to understand way and thats the value of it. With all this good infographics are great and helpful with a great way to learn about things. To see the my infographic full size click the small picture of my infographic.

The Roller Coaster Project

In science class we about roller coasters and how they work. The main reason they work is based off of Newton's three law's. The First Law is also called the Law of Interia. The First Law says that a object will stay at rest or in motion unless acted on by another force. It is also called the Law of Inertia because interia means the same as law 1. Law 2 says that acceleration of an object depends on how much it weighs and the size of it. I f the net forces increase the acceleration increases. Law 3 When a force acts on the object the object exerts the same amount of force in the opposite direction. You need momentum to stop the object.
Then after we learned everything about roller coasters we had a project about roller coaster where one person was a Lawyer, one was Physicist, one person as Historian, and one as Design Engineer. The Lawyer had to research laws about roller coasters in all states and around the world, and their restrictions. The Historian told about the history of roller coasters, the fastest, longest, and the oldest and anything to do with that. Design Engineer sees what you can use to make a roller coaster, how it works, and how it starts the roller coaster. Now the Physicist which was my job so i'll give you more info on it. The Physicist figures out all the information on how it works, what most are made of, what forces and energys come into play and how they test them. I learned that there are to main things of roller coaster needed are to energys Potential and Kinetic. Potential energy is the energy needed to get the roller coaster up hills and around yhe loops. Kinetic energy is the speed of the roller coaster going down hills and coming down in the loop. With out these energys roller coasters would not work.
The image below is my roller coaster attempt where it did not work. From the begging it was going fast after the first loop it was finishing but as it kept going it was going to fast and then went past the end. We did the roller coaster on The Jason Project Roller Coaster.

Finally our team got one to work. It was going to slow from the hill so we made it bigger. than it was to fast. Than we added another hill to slow it down. it was still to fast so we added a loop at the end and another hill. Than it worked and we couldn't think of a name, but than we found a pencil and wanted to call it ''The Pencil'' but thought it was too boring and called it the "The Sharp Pencil".

During this school year our students in grades 2 through 8 completed the President's Fitness Challenge. We took part in a variety of physical endurance tests. The sixth grade students charted the results for each event and grade. Here are the results of the Shuttle Run for grade 3. As you can see from the chart below, 10 or 33 % of the students achieved Presidential Level,13 or 44 % of the students achieved National Level, and 7 or 23 % of the third graders were at Participant Level.

I am going to tell you three of the twenty-six Amendments. The first Amendment gives our freedom of liberties, like freedom of religion, freedom of speech, free press, right to assemble, and the right to petition the government when we want. The tenth Amendment says any power not given to the federal government is given to the states and the people. The nineteenth Amendment gives the women in every state the right to vote in federal elections (The nineteenth Amendment did not come in until 1919). Those are three of the twenty-six Amendments and the other twenty-three are just as important.

I will tell you the Three Principles. The first Principle is The Separation of Powers. The Separation of powers that means the government is divided into three branches of government the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. Another is Checks and Balance. Checks and Balance limits the powers of each branch, and assures that each one works with the other so that one does not become more powerful. The next one is called Shared Powers. Shared Powers is that the states have some power, the federal has some power, and they share some power. Those are the Three Principles of the Constitution.
