R- Olaudah Equiano A- himself F- secret diary T- who came to the English colonies and why?

1756, Dear Diary
The first thing I saw was the sea and the slave ship picking up it’s cargo. The sight of the slave ship amazed me. This amazement turned to terror when I was carried aboard the ship...

Date unknown, Dear Diary,
We were packed together in chains so tightly we could hardly move or turn over. The cramped surroundings and the deadly heat almost suffocated us. Many slaves fell sick and died- a result of being packed so closely. The only reason they were packed so closely was to increase the profits of the slave dealers.

Robert, a 14-year-old used his spare time to make a game for the iphone. Now he has 6 million people playing his game! Most 14-year-olds are watching TV, thinking about the school dance and spending way too much time on Facebook. Eighth-grader Robert Nay, meanwhile, used his spare time to build a No. 1 iPhone app. His game is called Bubble Ball, it topped Angry Birds as the number 1 free game in mid-January.
The objective is to get a ball through an obstacle course in multiple levels. If he does create another game he will charge a small fee to download it. I got my information from aol.com.

I can’t believe people are trying to build a robot that runs like a human!  I got my information from http://currentgeek.com/2011/01/episode-144-ahh-man-my-robot-has-the-runs/

R- John Smith

A- The Jamestown Colonists

F- Speech

T- Who Helped The Colonists of Jamestown Survive?

“Stop! Stop it now! I John Smith on this date in 1608 am very disgusted in all of you. All you do is look for gold. We will run out of food if you don’t start planting food for us to eat! He that will not work shall not eat. You will build our houses, plant our crops, and raise livestock. If you don’t there will be plenty of food for the rest of us. We established Jamestown here, next to the James River in 1607. If we have to go back to England every time we run out of food we will end up like the lost colonists! All you came here for was gold, now we are here to survive. I was captured by the Powhatan and saved by the chief’s daughter, so we will have peace, and respect them.”

Route to Asia

Article posted January 11, 2011 at 10:17 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 312

Hello I’m WeirdO, and yes that IS a capital “O” at the end of my name. I’m on the run from the English people. They want to burn my spirit, because I can... AGHHHHH! They just saw me! I have to walk across the water to Asia. Oh and they want to burn me because I can walk on water.
I can see the water that will hopefully lead to Asia, a few more minutes and I’ll be there! SPLASH! I hit the water, have to swim up. Balance... and there now I just have to walk all the way to Asia. Let’s eat one of those candy bars I stuffed in my pockets. Mmmm Hersheys bars are really good! SPLASH!

Were am I? No I’m in the town center! This is were they burn people! Better get out of here! Just use my knife to get out of these ropes. SLICE! Wow they took me to the Ocean Village. Balance and there I am walking on the water.
The fish are nibbling my feet, it tickles! Now I have a HUGE problem. There is a huge chunk of land blocking my path to Asia! I have heard no one has ever found the Northwest Passage, so I will take a Southwest Passage!

TWO DAYS LATER:
WOW! Asia is awesome! I will be able to stay here for a very, very long time!

“Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a snowman for a day? Well I know a snowman who would like to tell you about his short life.”
“O.K, thank you Billy. I was made December 25th and died December 26th of the same year. Unlike Frosty, my brother, my scarf brought me to life. I had a fear of children so I froze! When the kids went inside I waddled into the road. I got stuck in the road, so I waited... and waited... finally the kids came out and tried to move me. The kids saw a car zooming towards us, so they ran to their yard. The car nailed me, and that was the story of my life!

“The Great Dr. Wolfenstine has done it again. He has escaped the killer again. This is what happened: Well he was working on making a dead mouse live, when a killer broke through his door. He threw the half alive mouse at the killer then hid in a paper bag. Oh ooops Dr. Wolfenstine is 0ft 11inches. When the killer saw him he used his freeze ray to freeze the killer, but he passed out when he shot.

2 hours later:

When he woke up the killer was defrosted. The killer had him tied up, but Great Dr. Wolfenstine used his freeze ray agin, and didn’t pass out. He called the cops and triumphed over the killer,” explained Great Dr. Wolfenstine’s excellent assistant.

Star Wars Battlefront II was the game my brother was playing. He asked, “Football-Hero, do you wan’t to play?”
“Sure I’m the Republic on versus. Galactic Conquest,” I answered.
“O.K. I already have it set up,” He said.
I’ll be honest, I’ve never beaten him in this game before, and he’s littler than me!
1 hour of gaming later:

“I won!” I screamed. “Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!” This is what happened in a summary: I attacked his base planet then he attacked mine and I won both the battles!
Capturing the rest were a piece of cake. He started to cry and I got in trouble, but it was worth it.

Nickel, one of my friends, came over, we played the Wii. I had my feet on the cupboard. “AWWWWW!” I screamed. My toe felt like it had been pulled off of my foot; also my brother started laughing! My toe bent sideways, when I started to imp the pain went away! How!? When I described this to my mother she said, “Your toe popped out of it’s socket.” It was the worst pain in the world. Now I found a way to naturally pop it out. I put a cup on the foot and it pops out. At first it is relaxing, then it starts to hurt again.

ten minutes later:

“Oh no the flashlights went out!”  I said.  “Well I think we came from over here,” Chubz guessed.  We kept walking until we heard a growl.  We turned and ran the other direction.  Finally we saw light, and we ran home to play NCAA 10.

Compare Contrast Shirley and Jackie

Article posted October 12, 2010 at 07:19 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 535

Jackie Robinson lived years and years ago here are seven facts about him: he was the first African-American to play major league baseball. He broke the color barrier in baseball (majors). Jackie clinched the pennant, an award, for the Dodgers. Jackie got married right before he signed the contract to the Dodgers. Jackie was the first African-American to steal home plate! He was a candidate for rookie of the year.
Shirley Temple Wong was a fictional character, written years ago. In her book she sailed across the ocean to America. In the end of the book she handed her school key to her hero, Jackie Robinson. Shirley was Chinese but her father moved to America and her grandfather renamed her SHIRLEY TEMPLE WONG! She was VERY short, because she thought she was 10, but she was really 8. The school board believed that she was 10 and put her in 5th grade, but she was really supposed to be in 3rd grade. Shirley’s old nickname was Bandit, she loved it.
Both Shirley and Jackie had lots in common here are some examples: both of them run pigeon-toed. They both loved to play baseball. They both got excluded by there peers. They both had the same hair color, witch was black. When they both met their peers they were ignored. They were both put in the same book. When they were children they loved to play baseball, and they were very good at it.

The professor pushes the future button for me and I travel to the future. Dinosaurs are alive! I press the new button that appeared and it took me to the present! I punched Upchuck in the face and ran home. Professor Upchuck chased me until I hit him again, he fell to the ground. I got away from the evil professor.

Monkey see Monkey do

We were watching a monkey movie, when I fell asleep. I awoke thinking about self-esteem. What was I thinking about that for? WOW! I was harry and had one-third of a banana left. This banana’s peel was pink! What was I going to say? My teacher’s desk was gone! Everyone was gone! They must’ve gone outside. So I went outside and it was a jungle outside literally. I must be dreaming I thought, so I found a wet pile of leaves and dipped my face in them. I was back in my classroom and we were still watching the monkey movie. Thank God!!!

We went down to the cafeteria, there was a new drink! The container, an oddly shaped box of cardboard, was small. It tasted like spoiled milk. Mr. Grettenburger, a lunch helper, said, “The people who deliver the milk delivered this drink.” All of the sudden I started floating, EVERYONE was floating! I grabbed the edge of the table, but the edge snapped off! When we hit the ceiling it fell apart, must’ve been a faulty ceiling! We floated towards the clouds. I heard the aids saying, “I’m glad I didn’t drink the new drink.” Then they put a trampoline in the cafeteria! Then someone burped, very loudly, and fell! I shouted, “Everyone burp!” I tried with all my might to burp, and I did, I fell! I saw everyone fall, at very high speeds, from 50 miles up, no one was hurt!!
