I learened that a company has requirements that they have to meet in order to become a stock and also that your company needs to have county, state and federal government approval before your company becomes a stock in the New York Stock Exchange. Also, I learned that your company may not become a stock right away because you may need to reach some requirements before your company get approval. The videos I watched where about the stock market. These videos taught me about how the stock market works. Also the video showed me that it takes a lot of work for a company to become a stock. The videos I watched were very helpful to me because they broke everything to a point where I can understand it and grasp what they are saying. I learned many things about the stock market. Click here to learn more about the stock market.  The four stocks I chose were PPL  , Johnston and Johnston, Pespi  and Home Depot. I chose these four stocks because I use these company's products in everyday life. This is what I learned about the stock market and the New York Stock Exchange. 

It was a warm September day and Maria came running to me crying and barely able to talk. “What’s wrong?” I asked. It took Maria a minute to respond “The farm…we lost it…its gone!” I wasn’t sure what this meant I asked “What do you mean by your farm is gone?” She responded “Our farm was taken by the bank!” I gasped in disbelief.  My mother asked us “What is wrong my poor darlings?” “Mommy, Maria lost her farm!” I said crying. When we got to the Goretti’s house my mother and Mrs. Goretti went inside. Then my mother stood up and said “Danni, the Gorettis are going to be moving in with us.”

The Gorettis were settled in. Maria and I shared the same birthday which we just loved. So we celebrated on October16th. We turned 9. A few weeks later, Maria and I came home and everyone in both families was gathered around Maria’s father’s body. Maria saw her father and cried and cried. A few days later we laid Mr. Goretti to rest and continued with our daily lives. Maria mourned for quite some time. That July day was probably the worst day of my life. I went to out in the field to play with my brothers. I left without her. When I came back I heard Maria scream and ran to the aid of my friend. What I saw next was the worst thing to ever see. I saw Maria on the floor with fourteen stab wounds around her heart and lungs. She looked up at me and said “Danni…..go….get…your….parents.” I ran to get our parents. I couldn’t talk so I just pointed towards the shed where I found Maria. When my mother saw Maria she turned to me and said “Danni, go get Maria’s mother and tell her it is an emergency. I did as I was told and got Maria’s mother. When we returned Maria’s mother went to the body of her daughter and starting sobbing uncontrollably. We needed to rush Maria to the hospital. The doctors pulled Maria’s mother out and they were talking. When Mrs. Goretti came back she told me that Maria might not live much longer. I stayed with Mrs. Goretti and Maria until she died. A few days later we laid Maria to rest and we received the news that Alessandro Serenelli was captured and was sentenced to thirty years in prison. It was tough but we knew deep in our hearts we needed to forgive Alessandro Serenelli. God wanted us to forgive him.  We didn’t hear from Alessandro for quite some time before we got a note from him that said he had a dream in which Maria came to him and he could see the wounds. He also said in this dream Maria gave him fourteen lilies that burned immediately in his hands. Alessandro stated that in this dream Maria forgave him also. We got the news that Maria was going to be canonized as a saint. Mrs. Goretti got the letter and it said “Dear Mrs. Goretti, I have the honor of telling you that your daughter, Maria Goretti, will be canonized as a saint on June 24, 1950. She will be beatified on April 27, 1947 in Saint Peter’s Basilica. Sincerely, Pope Pius XII” This was quite a shock.

On the evening of the beatification ceremonies in Saint Peter’s Basilica we were approached by Pope Pius XII and Mrs. Goretti almost fainted. He put his hands on Mrs. Goretti’s head and said “blessed mother, happy mother, and mother of a Blessed!”  They both had eyes wet with tears. We saw Alessandro Serenelli at the service. History was going to be made today because Maria was one of the youngest people ever to be canonized as a saint in the Roman Catholic Church and this is the first time a parent has ever been present at their child’s canonization. Maria’s message to people is to love everyone even if they hurt you. She wants you to forgive you enemies. Also you should be kind to others no matter what.

I have picked Saint Maria Goretti as the Saint I wish to choose for Confirmation. I chose this saint because she had a lot of courage in time when most people would be scared for their life. Also for her bravery when she said I rather die than submit. I also admire Maria due to her loyalty to God. This is why I chose Saint Maria Goretti for Confirmation.

      In Health class this year we studied Nutrition and exercise.  This is the reason why we watched SuperSize Me. The purpose of this post to let people know about the dangers of eating too much fast food.

  The SuperSize Me video was pretty good. The nutritional aspect of the video SuperSize Me is that fast food is really bad for you, it doesn`t matter if you are really young or old. Also if you eat a really high fat diet you gain weight and can get a fatty liver and could die. Also you could get a fatty liver from drinking a lot of  alcohol. It is very important to get a lot of exercise in your everyday life. The guy who conducted this experiment was see by doctors, a nurtritionist, and an exercise specalist. This  is where exercise and nutrition comes into play. 

           I learned that it is important to eat right and get a lot of exercise. The more calories you eat and the less you burn=weight gain,the less calories you eat and the more you burn =weight loss and the calories you eat is equal to the calories you burn=weight control. It is important that people  should mangage nutrition and exercise to enhance their health. What I learned was that fast food may be fast,easy,and looks good. It is not good for you!  

In my 7th year we had an Europe project. In this project we went in depth on a European country. I enjoyed this project because I liked researching my country which was Belguim. Now i will show you my project. Enjoy!!

Digital Communication is how we commutate through social networks like Face book, texting, instant messaging, ect. 1. I learned that it is very easy to give info out if you chatting with someone.2. Also when we text our friends we use abbreviations like LOL, OMG, ect. 3.  Also if you have a facebook it will ask you for your email adress and your age and your birhtday but with pivacy settings that olny you or your friends can see it . My conclusion is that we commutate more digitaly than face to face. Here is a link to the Digital Citizenship website .

My class had to do a roller coaster project. We defined words like speed which is how fast an object is moving.  The purpose of this project was to find out the physics of a roller coaster.   Newton’s First Law of Motion is an object at rest stays at rest, an object in motion stays in motion, unless an outside force acts on it. Newton’s Second Law of Motion is the rate of change of momentum is proportional to the imposed force and goes in the direction of the force.   Newton’s Third Law of Motion is an equal but opposite reaction. I was the engineer. My best friend was the historian and her friend was the design engineer. Our roller coaster constied of 3 loops and 2 hills. It was a success because we made the hills and loops not too big or small. Here is asite where you can build your own roller cosater.

I am at a new school this year . I like it a lot. I am meeting a lot of new friends and I am seeing some old . This is my first year blogging. I think this Blogger`s Challenge is very cool .

My goals  for 6th grade are to be my best and to try my hardest.  Also, to get honor roll this year and get good grades. I would to love to learn about ancient times. I would also to love to get my math and science grades up . These are  my goals and what I  want to learn this year .
