Changes In Matter

When we learned about Changes in Matter, I learned  what exothermic and endothermic reactions are. An exothermic reaction is a reaction that releases energy in a chemical reaction. An endothermic reaction is a reaction that heat energy is absorbed in a chemical reaction. I also learned what the pH scale is. The pH scale is a set of number between 0 and 14 used to measure the stength of acids and bases. What I liked the best about this unit was all the labs we did. What I did not like about this unit is all the work. One question I had was what is neutralization is?

All About Me

Article posted September 28, 2010 at 03:34 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 138

Hello everyone. I'm going to tell you all about me. First, my favorite color is orange and my favorite animal is a panda. I play soccer and I like to build stuff. My favorite subject in school is Math and Social Studies. I also play the trumpet.

I like 6th Grade because the teachers are nice. I don't like 6th Grade because of all the homework. I am looking forward to doing some fun projects this year. That is some stuff about me.

Heat and Matter

Article posted September 27, 2010 at 03:29 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 504

When we learned about Heat and Matter I learned a lot of things. Three thing I learned about are Conduction, Convection, and Radiation. Conduction is the flow of heat from one object to another by direct contact between the objects. Convection is the flow of thermal energy that occurs when a warm liquid or gas moves from one place to another. Radiation is the transfer of energy from one place to another with the use of matter. The thing I liked the most about the chapter where when we did labs. The things I liked the least where all the homework. One question I had was how can you keep you tires from blowing out on a long drive in hot weather?
