The three things i learned about this article: I knew the atom is the smallest piece of any matter,but i didnt know that all atoms are made up of elements.... i thought the atoms were the elements. Another thing i learned was chemical and physical reactions:physical is when something mixes together but no chemicles are combined (ex: sugar water solution-if you boil the water the sugar will stay on the outsude like crust on a pizza.) chemicleis when something is chemicly combined(ex: baking a cake is a physical change-all the eggs and flour and other ingreadients you cant seperate from the cake their chemicly combined!) And the last thing i learned was the exothermic and endothermic: endothermic is when more energy is kept then let free(i like to remember it as endothermic is kept inside instead of let out) and exothermic is when more energy is let loose then kept inside (i like to rember it as  exothermic exits endothermic stays.)What i didnt like was the chemistry in a bag lab.

The things i liked about science was that we learned so far about about heat and matter lesson was the expansion and contracting.The thing that interested me in this article was that the bridges and railroad tracks use the separations for expansion and contraction.The other things i didn't like was the the radiation lesson.I liked the popcorn experiment i think that was a good example of heat and matter.I also liked the food coloring test i think that was another good example of the Heat and Matter chapter.
