Three things I learned were what an exothermic reaction was, what a endothermic reation was, and what an indacater is. One thing I learned was that a exothermic reaction is a chemical reaction in which more energy is given off than taken in(example:burning of wood). I also learned that an endothermic reaction is a chemical reaction in which more energy is takeni in than given off(example:a cold ice pack). The final thing I learned is what a indacator is. An indacator is a substancethat changes color at a certain range of pH values. One thing i liked is the lab when we used cabbage juice as an indacator, this was my favorite because we got to try and come up with our own pH values. My least favorite part was doing the study guides because it took me a long time to write and look up the answer in the book.
What was your favorite part of the lesson???

I haven't really ever used blogging, but i think it will be lots fun. I am from Texas, and i have a southern accent. I love outdoor sports such as soccer, lacrosse, and baseball. Lacrosse is my favorite sport because it reminds me of my brothers in Delaware. I can play a game of rough football and not get affected because living with two brothers, you get the point of how to be tough.
Most of my spring and summer time is spent with family cookouts. I like entertaining my cousins until they start jumping on me. My life is filled with lots of joyous moments with my large family. I hope you have enjoyed reading my blog.

Three things that i learned in this unit are that all matter expands and contracts, water contracts differently than other substances, and that bridges are built with special joints for a special cause. All matter expands and contracts because when the particles gain thermal energy they start to expand. When the particles lose energy the matter contracts. Water contracts differently because it freezes at a certain temperature. While it is losing energy water expands because it forms into rings. Bridges have joint because the pavement needs room to expand and contract. the experiment i liked the most was when we learned about radiation, conduction, and convection using three different ways to make popcorn. My least favorite part of this unit was the test. I disliked this because Mr. Phillips was absent so we had to write the test instead of doing it on the computer. If you were a particle what item would you be in?
