End of the Year

Article posted June 15, 2011 at 09:25 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 850

I wasn't told to do this blog but I wanted to. To anyone who is reading this I would like to say my Freshman year was pretty life changing.
This past year I have had awful skiing accidents and a lot of problems with my knee after. If I didn't go to Elk Lake I'm not sure I could say I had the best ninth grade year that I did. Yeah, yeah, I trash talk EL pretty bad. Sometimes though, it's worth it because it gets things changed.
Another thing I will remember about my freshman year is the students. Some of the other kids would always try to fight with me almost every day. To be honest, I am a fighter if you get me mad and I do start quite a bit so I'm not blaming anyone but myself. Every fight I got into this year, I'm glad. Freshman year is one thing I would not change for anything.
So underclassman, it's not that bad. It was something I'll never forget and the teachers were the best. Never get discouraged, just keep going.
To the class of 2014, Let's make our voice heard before we leave. :)

"Marry Me" by Train

Forever can never be long enough for me
To feel like I've had long enough with you
Forget the world now we won't let them see
But there's one thing left to do

Now that the weight has lifted
Love has surely shifted my way
Marry Me
Today and every day
Marry Me
If I ever get the nerve to say "Hello" in this cafe
Say you will
Mm-hmm
Say you will
Mm-hmm

Together can never be close enough for me
Feel like I am close enough to you
You wear white and I'll wear out the words I love you
And you're beautiful
Now that the wait is over
And love and has finally shown her my way
Marry me
Today and every day
Marry me
If I ever get the nerve to say "Hello" in this cafe
Say you will
Mm-hmm
Say you will
Mm-hmm

Promise me
You'll always be
Happy by my side
I promise to
Sing to you
When all the music dies

And marry me
Today and everyday
Marry me
If I ever get the nerve to say "Hello" in this cafe
Say you will
Mm-hmm
Say you will
Marry me
Mm-hmm

Responsibility

What do you call responsibility? Does it just come to you or do you have to work for it to get it? What does it even mean to be responsible? According to dictonary.com, being responsible means to "answerable or accountable, as for something within one's power, control, or management" ("Responible"). To me being responsible means to do what needs to be done and taking care of others and yourself.

Being responsible is taking care of what needs to be done when you see that it is there. For example, if you leave trash in the can when it is full that would not be responsible of you to do. Instead, if you take the trash out and replace the bag you will be showing your parents that you can help out just by doing little things. Each little thing that you do can help out in a big way. Being responsible is always the better thing to do.

Another way I think of being responsible is taking care of others. If you have younger brothers and sisters and your parents go out one night you can baby-sit. Even though you may have better things to do or don’t want to in the least bit, it would be a nice and mature thing for you to do. Sure, your siblings are going to annoy you but that is why they’re there. As long as you try to help out and get along it will show a lot more to your parents and others if you try.

Being responsible can show in many ways as long as you are doing something that feels good to you.  Responsible is to be answerable or accountable on many accounts. Helping out things and keeping everything under control is also responsibility.

Fights

Do you get into a lot of fights? Who do you fight with? Do you just yell or is it hitting too? According to dictonary.com to fight means "a battle or combat" ("Fight"). Lately, it seems that everyone wants to do exactly that; fight. Depending on whom you’re fighting with and why you see an upside to the fighting.  A lot of people don’t get along with others and that may lead to fights with them. I’ll admit that I do fight with my friends but I’ve never really had a major fight with my boyfriend. All my friends that are daring someone always seem to be breaking up or getting into a bad fight. I wonder if that’ll ever happen to my boyfriend and I but I know it probably won’t. Since we’re been dating for over a month without a fight, I don’t see it happening at all.

With my friends it can be a complete different story though. My friends and I can’t best friends and sometimes you can defiantly tell. When my friends and I fight it doesn’t last a couple hours of even a couple days. Fight with friends can be weeks! We don’t mean to fight but when we do we are so much alike we never seem to get overt it. After a week or so does pass we can talk through everything and become friends again. The best things about fighting is making up in the end.

Do you fight with someone a lot? Who is it that you fight with? How long do your fights last? Next time you’re fighting stop holding a grudge and make up already. Fighting isn’t the way to live your life but making up is.

Have you ever had your birthday coming up when you knew people were getting you things? How much do you really like surprises? Do you like waiting for things that you really want to know? This year for my birthday my boyfriend, Rick, got me a gift. The only problem is he keeps bringing it up in conversation and won't tell me what it really is. This is why I don't really like surprises.

This year for my birthday I am going over to my boyfriend's house after school and we were planning to go to the movies and then out to dinner. Another part of my birthday that he was planning was getting me a gift, like most birthdays. The only problem with everything was is that he keeps bringing up that he got me a gift but won't let me know what it is. Honestly, I don't like surprises at all, so he keeping a surprise from me really isn't any fun for me. Another good thing about my birthday is Friday, when we are making all of our plans, is calling for bad weather. Since the bad weather is coming Rick and I deiced to see each other on Wednesday after school since he was going to his grandma's to eat. Since the weather might mess up our plans Rick said that I would be able to get my gift from him on Wednesday. I am really excited that I get to get my gift, get to see Rick two days, and get to spend time with him and his family. This would be my birthday week.

Have you ever had your birthday coming up when you knew people were getting you things? How much do you really like surprises? Do you like waiting for things that you really want to know? This week I am celebrating my birthday. My surprise is when I get my birthday gift from Rick.

France

Around the World Part 2

The country I picked was France. I picked France because it always seems like there’s something to do and you’d have a lot of fun if you go there.

1.       The population of France since January first two thousand ten is sixty four point seven million people ("France" U.S. ).

2.       There are four main religions in France such as; Roman Catholic, Muslim, Protestant, and Jewish ("France" U.S.).

3.       The government type in France is republic ("Get Facts.").

4.       Children need to be in school from the age of six to sixteen ("Get Facts.").

5.       France takes place in dairy, pork, poultry, and apple production ("France"

6.       The capital and also the largest city since two thousand three in Paris ("France" U.S.).

7.       The form of money in France is the Euro ("Get").

There are so many great things to learn about France.  Taking French language class and tell you even more also!

Did you ever really want to do something? Did you get to do what you wanted? How’d you take it if you didn’t get to go do what you really wanted?

This weekend I really wanted to go skiing at Sno Mountain with Rick and Ian again. When I called Sno to see how much a lift ticket was from four to either the lady said that they would be closing at six. I was really upset after she told me that. I mean six o’ clock? Really, you must close then?

After I got off the phone with her I told Rick that we shouldn’t even attempt to go because we were barely have time to hit the slopes. After thinking of an idea we could do we deiced to go out to see a movie or buy one at Wal-Mart and take it back the house to watch. Since, we went to Wal-Mart and bought a movie and took it to the house to watch. I don’t know how I would have made out skiing anyways. Since we went skiing on Friday I have a bruised knee because one of the guys I was skiing with put his board into my knee. I was better off staying home and doing something a bit safer then to go out. All in all, the weekend was alright since I got to be with Rick. Sure skiing would have been a lot better because it’s the end of season but oh well. To me I’d rather stay inside in a warm bed watching movies then be out in the cold. Considering that my arm still wasn’t back to normal since my fall I was better in bed than outside. Better be safe than sorry like they always say. Sno Mountain can close early any time as long as I get to make alternate plans.

Disappointment or not, the night ended up getting a lot better before it ended. If I had a choice I would replay the night over again the exact same way. Did you ever have your plans fail? What did you do instead? Was the night better anyways?

Friendship
Do you have a good friend? How do you know they’re really your friend? Have they always been there when you needed them most? I know there’s a good friend for me after the past two times I’ve gotten hurt. Rick was there to help me out and make sure everything was alright after I got hurt both skiing times. Having him there after getting hurt meant more than anything to me. Even though I did get hurt pretty bad I still think that if I had the choice I would love to replay the night over again without changing a thing.
Over the weekend Rick asked me if I would be willing to go skiing with him. Of course, my answer was yes. Later in the night, we deiced to go onto a blue square after we got off the black diamonds. I was skiing in the middle of Rick and Ian with Rick behind me. As I rounded a corner the only thought I had was, “I’m never going to make it.” With no control and so much speed, there was no possible way to make it down. After hitting a jump at going an unbearable speed the fun just began.
One jump, all speed, no ground, all air. The only thing you can remember is hitting the jump and hitting the ground. Your reaction probably wasn’t the greatest after you landed on the ground when you finally stopped moving. My reaction was only to find out what happened and to see if my blades were alright. My health meant nothing to me after I landed but to Rick, it meant everything. When Rick made it down to where I was laying the first questions were, “Are you okay? Are you hurt?” As I turned over I saw Rick’s facial expression to be very surprised and concerned, that’s when my emotions started changing from alright to worried and scared.
As we started finding out what was hurt I had blood streaming from my face and the worry point was at an all time high from that point on. The first reaction was to see if all my teeth were still attached and to ask Rick how bad it really was. As we were sitting on the ground I couldn’t have asked for a better friend than Rick because of how caring and helping he was toward me. It felt astonishing to have a friend sit in the cold with me until I knew I was able to get back up again. Also, as we were sitting on the slope, instead of telling the truth that I looked pretty bad, Rick kept saying I looked great and kept making me laugh no matter what. After what seemed like forever of sitting on the cold ground with my nose, mouth, and face gushing of blood I got up and made it down the rest of the mountain and inside with the assist of Rick by my side. Skiing accidents showed me I know I have one really great friend who I can rely on and call a true friend and a pretty good life saver.
Back in the lodge, I got to clean up the gory mess we had on our hands from the air just received on the mountain. As we predicted it was a bloody nose, mouth, chin, and some scarps that were going to last for a while. After cleaning up I was feeling a lot better but Rick wouldn’t let me head back out just in case, so Ian went back out as Rick and I stayed in the lodge. It was nice just to have someone to talk to and sit with even if I was pretty badly roughed up. All in all, it was a really good night even if it did add a little pain that would be lasting for a while.
Does your friend help you through hard times? Does he or she make sure you’re okay if you’ve been pretty banged up? How do you know they’re there for you? My real friend came through for me when no one else did. He was there to pick me up, make me laugh, and stay with me after my accident. I know I have a real friend because of the time I had a rough time skiing. How do you know that you have a real friend?

Skiing Do you participate in any winter sports? Do you like the cold weather? Need something to do with friends and have a great time too? Try skiing, the best winter sport you can find.

For about a year and a half I have been skiing, blading, and snowboarding. Blading is my favorite out of all three winter sports. I like blading because it’s fun, there’s always something new you can try, and you can challenge yourself. Recently, I have started blading backwards and trying 360’s. Going backwards on skis is hard but is worth while once you get it. The feeling of accomplishment is overwhelming once you finally start going backwards. When I was in my lesson at Sno Mountain the instructor said we should try going backwards. At first I wasn’t sure I could do it. Backwards on skis when I’m already on a double blue for the first time? The only thought going through my head was “Are you crazy?!” There were two boys in the lesson with Bob, the instructor, last week so I felt better about it because they were pretty good. Once I saw they were doing as good as I was I started laughing.

Stopping backwards was pretty hard and the boys stopped too soon sometimes. When I went to stop a couple times I ended up stopping so close I could hug the boys. Once I kept having a hard time stopping the boys got used to it and starting helping me and I got better. You always seen to get along wit someone whether it’s the ski instructor or another kid from a different school.

Skiing is a great thing to get involved in since it is so much fun. One thing that I would never trade in life is skiing. I say that because I love the excitement and fun you get from it.

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,

Some say in ice.

From what I've tasted of desire

I hold with those who favor fire.

But if it had to perish twice,

I think I know enough of hate

To say that for destruction ice

Is also great

And would suffice.

Representin'

How many people do you love and how do you show it? By messages? Calling? Writing notes? For this blog, Representin', we need to either choose a list or theme of love that people can have. For example, there is love as for a friend, family member, or boyfriend or girlfriend. With every person you love them in a different way.

How are you suppose to 'love' a family member? When you love a family member you care for them no matter what. Love for your family is saying you'll stand with them for anything that is going on in their life. It also means that you could help them and just be there for them through bad and good times. Love for a family member is like a telephone. If you don't get to see some of your family that often you can call them to talk to them on the phone. When you pick up the phone to call someone just to talk that means you care about them. This is a sign for love for your family is by making a phone call.

Adopting a brother or sister' is like love for a family member? Love for friendship is the feeling of them being like a brother or a sister. When you say 'best friend' it means that you care a lot for them and your willing to be with them through hard times and to have good times with each other to share laughs. Handwritten notes from a friend shows that you care and love them. Taking time out of your day shows that you care for a person. Even writing a couple of sentences to somebody asking them how they are or just by saying how you've been doing lately will mean so much more than nothing at all. Writing notes to friends shows that you love and care about them.

Do you love your boyfriend/ girlfriend more than family or friends? Boyfriend/ girlfriend love is different then family or friend love. Love for a boyfriend or girlfriend is like a cell phone. When you have a new boyfriend or girlfriend it means waking up to a text message saying good morning or hearing their name and you just start to smile. While in a relationship it's felling happiness and feels like your really cared for no matter what.

Love can means so many different things depending on how you're looking at it. love can be very strong or even just a little but just enough to care. Love is so many different things or in different ways being shown.

Band and what it means to me.
I bet you don't really know me like you think you do. Did you know I play several different instruments? Yes, that's right, I play more than just my clarinet for the school band. I also play keyboard, guitar, and bass guitar. Out of all the instruments that I play I don't think that I could really ever choose a favorite one.
How long have I really played music? Since fifth grade I have been intersted in music. While in fifth grade I started to play my first instrument, my B flat clarinet. As of today I have been playing clarinet for five years and loved every second of it.
My second instrument was regular guitar. I have two regular guitars, both an acuosick and electric. After a year and a half playing regular guitar I saw that it wasn't for me and I started looking for new instruments. The ones I found were keyboard and bass guitar and I picked them up in that order.
My keyboard was another instrument I took to and understood well. Ever since I got my keyboard I have been finding new msuc I can play with it and I love going down to the band room to play. Also, with keyboard I love to try to put notes and keys together to see what sounds good together.
Finally, the latest instrument that I've taken instrest in is my bass guitar. I got a bass guitar for Christmas and have been playing ever since. I knew prior I was going to get it so I already had tabs ready to play for it. As soon as I picked up bass I knew it was the instrument for me and it hasn't proved me wrong since.
Music is one thing I really love to do in life and I don't ever plan on giving up on it either.

Mr. Halloway Can Change

Do you think you are a different person? Do you thing that you can change a lot throughout your life? How do you even make a change to yourself? In the story Something Wicked Comes This Way, Mr. Halloway becomes more independent, caring, and outgoing as the story progresses. Mr. Halloway grows as a character and as an actual person.
One reason how Mr. Halloway is more independent as the story develops is because of how he helps the boys out. Once Mr. Halloway knew that the boys were in trouble, he was there with them until it was over. “Who,” interrupted Mr. Halloway, “Are these lucky boys?” When the Illustrated Man was looking for Will and Jim, Mr. Halloway knew that there was a problem so he became another person and helped the boy, for really, the first time ever. When Mr. Halloway was talking to the Illustrated Man he protected the boys by lying to him. No matter what the Illustrated Man said, Mr. Halloway would always say something to get around it. This is how Mr. Halloway became more independent.
Another way how Mr. Halloway changed is by becoming more caring throughout the story. In chapter 13, Mr. Halloway cried out, “Jim!” cried the old man. “Will!” Mr. Halloway cared about the boys so he didn’t want them to go out and get into trouble. Also, this is where Mr. Halloway begins to talk to the boys and communication with them a lot more. “He wanted to go back down and stand with Dad, hands out, to be warmed by the fire.” In this chapter (8), Will wanted to talk to his dad and have a relationship that other son and fathers would have. This is how Mr. Halloway became more caring though out the story.
A third way Mr. Halloway changed is by he is more outgoing at the end of the story. I know this because Mr. Halloway is laughing and running with the boys at the end of the book. “But, running even with the boys, the middle-aged man reached out.” When Mr. Halloway was finally running with the boys like he wanted to. At the beginning, Mr. Halloway would see the boys running together to go someplace and see how much fun they were having. So at the end, when he finally got to run with the boys he finally had his dreams come true. Mr. Halloway became more outgoing as he grew more as a person in the story.
In conclusion, Mr. Halloway became a more independent, caring, and outgoing person. Throughout the story, Mr. Halloway helped the boys once they got into trouble. Mr. Halloway is more outgoing because he finally gets to run and laugh with the boys at the end of the story like he always wanted to. Caring was also one of Mr. Halloway’s biggest changes as he talked to his son more and had a stronger bond with him toward the end. This is how Mr. Halloway was more independent, out, and baring toward the end of the book.

Music.
The most interesting post I read was about was music. The students needed to listen to an hour long music channel then write about it. I wish our school would do something like that. Music is one thing that I really do enjoy. I felt really happy to see that others schools are really bringing music in and they focus on it. To me, music is an important part of life you should have. With it I believe you can be motivated to do things you normally wouldn’t do. Every school should bring in music to their students to try to move them ahead with the work in school. This is a great way kids can relate to anything in life because we all love music as students.
Vertical Angles
I like vertical lines best also so I wanted to comment on this blog. Vertical line questions always seem to be easier in math class. Also when drawing, a vertical line will look better then just some plain old line drew. The person who wrote this original blog really had a good choice that they made. Also when dealing with types of mines in math, I think vertical are easier to pick out then anything else. This is why I choose this blog to comment on.
Blackthorn winter
The book Blackthorn Winter sounds like a really interesting book that I would read. When I read the description to it, it reminded me of another blood I read called Circle of Blood. In both books there was a murder and a character knew more about the death than anyone else. I chose this blog because I saw I had a good connection with it.

Have you ever went someplace and saw writing all over? I have and it’s really childish too. Every time I go to the bathroom at school I see writing on the stalls and it’s really stupid writing too. Nobody cares what you think of other people. I don’t see why you write things all over instead of telling the person you have a problem with them.

Sometimes I wonder if people think before they do things in life. Do they think who has to see what they write after they are done? What about the people who have to clean it up? I know if I was the one having to clean all that up I would be pretty upset. Honestly, why do people do it?

Does any teacher really watch what students are doing other than going to the bathroom? There is so much on the walls and you can’t avoid seeing it either.  I think next time you need to think before you draw all over. Bathroom writing is really childish.

Recently I interviewed Alexis who is 14 years old. I asked, “What does it mean to be grown up?” Her answer was “Being grown up means to not act like a child and taking things seriously. Acting like a child is immature and unneeded.”

Third Times a Charm
Third Person Dramatic
Sally woke up in the late morning and got onto the computer dragging her feet behind her. She plumped herself into the computer chair and started to log onto the computer. Once she was on the internet she went onto Facebook to see if one of best friends, Joe, was on. A few minutes later Sally turns the computer off and slowly walks away with her head down.
A couple hours later, Sally hops into the computer chair and logs onto Facebook once again. Sally leaps from the chair with a huge grin on her face.

Third Person Limited Omniscient
One morning Sally wakes up with her hair in a mess and she was really grumpy. “I think I’ll go on and see if Joe is on,” thought Sally. As she stomps out into the computer room she drags her feet behind her. “I hope he’ll be on once I log on.” Sally logs onto the computer and is back off within a few minutes, with a frown across her face. “I he's never on when I am.”
A couple hours later Sally logs back onto the computer. “I just know Joe will be on now; he has to be.“ Sally thought to herself. As she logs onto Facebook she jumps out of the chair and screams “Yes! I’m so happy he’s finally on!” Sally stays on the computer for a while longer as she talks to Joe.

Third Person Omniscient
“I’m so tired and I feel completely awful.” Slumping in the computer chair Sally logs on to see if one of her best friends, Joe, was on. “Dang it! Where could he be at? I really wanted to talk to him.” Sally logs off the computer, now upset.
“Maybe he’ll be on now. Yeah, I bet he will be.” Sally hops onto the computer and logs onto Facebook to see if Joe is on.
Joe, now on Facebook, thinks, ”Sally is finally on the computer! I’ve been on and off all day waiting for her.” As Joe and Sally discover that they are both online at the same time, they stay on and talk to each other for a while.

Following Your Heart

The story I chose to write about for my essay is “The Bass, The River, and Sheila Mant” by W.D. Wetherell. The conflict of the story is that the narrator has to choose between Sheila Mant and the biggest bass he had ever caught. The narrator’s heart isn’t in the right place when he let the bass go, he found Sheila Mant attraction, and he learned he was let down by both the bass and Sheila in the end. He also learned to think about what you do before you make your final decision. When the narrator cut the line to the bass, over Sheila Mant, he learned too late he that had made the wrong choice. Take your dreams and make them come true as soon as you get the first chance to.
First off, the narrator found Sheila attractive so he wanted to pick her over the bass. Since he liked her he was trying to impress her all that he possibly could. The narrator did his best tuck dive for Sheila Mant and kept trying to look good for her until she left. If the narrator didn’t care about Sheila he wouldn’t of cared how well he was doing anything, but he really did like about her. While doing his best tuck dive he was trying to get Sheila to look over so he could get a better chance to be with her. With the bass he would have had a great memory forever but only heartbreak with Sheila. The narrator tried impressing Sheila because he thought that she was attractive.
Next, the narrator learned in the end that he was let down by both, Sheila and the bass. The narrator thought if he cut the line for the bass that he would still have a good chance with Sheila. After they got to the concert, Sheila said that she was going to get a ride home with another guy though. In the end, Sheila had left the narrator for another guy and he had lost the bass too. Once again, go after your dreams when the first chance comes along.
Finally, when the narrator let the bass go his heart wasn’t set in the right place. If it was really the narrator’s dream to get a big bass he should’ve forgotten about Sheila and took the bass instead. Just because Sheila was with him didn’t mean that he had to throw his dreams away. Sheila could leave him at any time but he would always have the memory of the bass and something to be proud of. If he was really thinking he would of chosen the bass over Sheila. The narrator’s heart wasn’t set in the right place.
At the end of the story, the narrator learned to always follow his heart and go after his dreams, set his heart in the right place, and he found Sheila Mant attractive. “Things come and go but nothing lasts forever.” When people say this I believe that it’s true. Unless you are extremely lucky, you won’t get chance after chance in life. Always follow your dreams in life no matter what comes along first.

Why do people think it’s cool to swear? I can understand if every once in a while you curse accidentally but, all the time on purpose just makes you look stupid. I’ve noticed over the years that swearing is like a drug to some and to others they do it to look cooler. To me, if you swear three times in a five word sentence, it’s not cool, it’s just plain stupid. Other times, I’ve noticed how people swear just because they are that used to it. I would rather have somebody accidentally curse a few times around me than on purpose all the time. I think that if the people around you curse that it will also be a habit that you will pick up. What do you think?

There are other ways to make you stand out and be ‘cooler’. For example, maybe you have a special talent that not a lot of other people can do. Drawing, writing, or maybe it’s something as simple as the clothes you wear. If you pick up good habits then, loved ones around you are more likely to pick good habits up too and drop bad ones. Think about it, would you rather others do good or bad habits? Right, you want them to have good habits of course.

Next time you think about doing something stupid like cursing, to look cooler, stop and think to yourself. Cursing doesn’t make you cooler and only you can stop it.

Quotation
"The chicken is in the country, but the city eats it." by George Herburt. This quote is saying that everything starts in the country. Most people would want to see everything starting out than getting everything handed to them. Raising a family in a rural area is better than an urban area because families get along better in the country, it is quieter than the city and easier to function in, and there is more space to do as you please in the country.

Narrow to Broad Topic.
Most people would want to see everything starting out than getting everything handed to them. I feel as if you get something just handed to you, you really don't deserve to have it. I'm sure that others won't want to take something they either didn't see happen or didn't work for. Raising a family in a rural area is better than an urban area because families get along better in the country, it is quieter than the city and easier to function in, and there is more space to do as you please in the country.

Statemen.
Movies always have better views than books. Although some like reading the books better, there is always more action in the movie. If your class is asked if they would prefer the book or the movie they are going to say the movie. This way, it is less class time and less work they will have to do as students. Next time your teacher asks if you’d prefer the nook or the movie, think about it. Less work makes for less class which is more fun.

Have you ever started something in your life and automatically loved it? Since I started photography I always want to be outside getting new photos. After I take a photo I know I can be proud of it because it's mine. When knowing that you can be proud of something that you did will give you a great feeling inside.

Sometimes when I'm outside taking photographs it's hard for me to find something that really stands out. If you take a picture of something boring nobody would like your pictures. Every once and a while I will take a photo that is boring and edit it later on. Photo shopping photographs is my favorite part of photography. There are so many different things you can do to a picture to make it look better. Putting words in a picture to describe it makes it more interesting. After I put words in the picture you can sharpen the picture to bring it out more. Once sharpened, I like to blur the edges to bring out the center of the picture so it pops out from the rest of the picture. This is different things that you can do while photo shopping.

Photography is one of my favorite things to do and I love to take photographs. Photography is something I started in life and automatically loved.

The Flood

by Robert Lee Frost

Blood has been harder to dam back than water.
Just when we think we have it impounded safe
Behind new barrier walls (and let it chafe!),
It breaks away in some new kind of slaughter.
We choose to say it is let loose by the devil;
But power of blood itself releases blood.
It goes by might of being such a flood
Held high at so unnatural a level.
It will have outlet, brave and not so brave.
weapons of war and implements of peace
Are but the points at which it finds release.
And now it is once more the tidal wave
That when it has swept by leaves summits stained.
Oh, blood will out. It cannot be contained.

A Good Friend

September Free Write

Have you ever had that one person you know you can talk to about anything? That one person in my life is one of the most important people in my life, Jesse. With everything that we have been through together I've learned that I can always look to him no matter what. Anytime I need somebody there to give me a hug or just to talk to, he's there.

I opened my life up to Jesse within that first week of knowing him because, he is so caring toward others. When I'm with him I know I can act as myself and not be judged. With a lot of people I know I can't be myself around since they will laugh at me, but never Jesse. Somehow I was lucky enough to find Jesse and become friends with him.

I love going to band practice with him just to watch him play guitar and to be with him. Sometimes when I think how hard guitar is for me I'll think of Jesse and how good he can play. When I want to give up I can say to myself that I won't ever compare to him if I just quit. I love the way he can inspire me in life without doing anything at all.

There is nothing that I wouldn't do for Jesse that I know he wouldn't do for me. Having someone who is a great friend, doesn't judge you, inspire you, and so much more is amazing. Having Jesse in my live is simple wonderful because of the person that he is. I would never want to loose his friendship, only because he is so good to me. Jesse is one of the most important people in my life and I could never thank him enough.

English Time!

A Visual Representation of Me Hello, my name is Kelly and this is my presentation for my English assignment. We needed to decorate out binders with four pictures and one quote that depicted our life. One picture I chose that showed my personality was a blue spiraling wave. I picked this to show how random I can be. The next picture I chose was of two electric guitars to show my love of music. Since I play guitar and music takes up a good portion of my life I wanted to show that part of my life. Another picture that we needed was of a book we read. The book I chose is called The Circle of Blood by Alane Ferguson because I enjoyed the action in it and I never wanted to put it down. For my last picture I chose my favorite band, Simple Plan, since I have always felt I could relate to their songs. Finally, to finish off I chose the quote “Dream as if you’ll live forever, live as if there’s no tomorrow.” This quote meant a lot to me when I read it because, I believe that anything can happen to anyone so you need to live each moment to the fullest. This is my English binger project but if you still want to know more about me just ask!
