FJ febuary letter
FJ's February letter February… fantastic, fun, and full of learning! Everyday in February was as sweet as the 14th. From math to art, many new concepts were learned. The simple machines, SHOC, and I love to read month challenged me and impacted my learning the most. I know you will be amazed as you read about them.
The simple machines project was completely new to me and I learned a lot about it. The simple machines project is where you make a chain reaction that has to have all of the simple machines in it, besides the pulley. The chain reaction has to have a wedge, lever, inclined plane, screw, and wheel and axle. You also have to have a drawing with everything label and to have a description on what your simple machine is supposed to do.
SHOC was so cool I just have to explain how I did it.
SHOC is a group of kids from the Owatonna high school that go to schools to teach younger kids about tobacco and inhalants. The first time the SHOC people came they told us about tobacco and what it does to your organs. The last time they came they told us about inhalants and that inhalants can kill a person in their first try.
After the SHOC experience I was trembling with excitement.
Last, I need tell you about is I love to read month. What is I love to read month? I love to read month is where everyone in the entire school read for the entire month and records they’re minutes for the month. Sometimes you could get a reward for getting the most minutes in your class.
February was a phenomenal month! My brain is packed, but I am reorganizing for March because I know it will be packed with great learning.
