Earthquakes There are many disasters out there but today I am going to talk about Earthquakes and the things I learned about them.

An earthquake is a very deadly disaster. If you don’t know what an earthquake is, it’s where the ground trembles, the buildings crumble, and people are left homeless. But they usually happen around the coasts like California. Yet, they can happen anywhere.

Many people die from earthquakes. If you ever survive an earthquake, you may think you’re lucky but you might be left homeless. Like the earthquake in Haiti was a magnitude of 8 and it was so bad it destroyed almost every building there!

If there is an earthquake you would want to get outside as quick as you can. But if you can’t get outside you should go under something like a desk or table.

Earthquakes have some tools used to measure things like the magnitude. The tool that does measure the magnitude is the seismograph. Another tool is called the Ritchter Scale.

Now you know all about earthquakes and what there like. Now you can share some things with your friends. Earthquakes are cool but dangerous so remember what to do in the situation of an earthquake.
