In our class for science we have a packet that we have to fill out one topic and the packet includes (they are in this order by the way): Coal, Natural Gas, Nuclear, Petroleum, Geothermal, Wind, Hydropower, Solar, and Biomass. I am on Solar and it's kinda fun to do these.

Over Spring Break me and my family flew to Florida to watch the Minnesota Twins play 2 spring training games. We had a great time in Florida and we are gonna go back next year. We spent A LOT of time swimming and we went to the beach one day too. At the Twins games they came back to win in the 9yh inning both times but my brother was bored so we went home in the 7th inning. It stunk!!

Learning was exceptional in December! Once again we accomplished a ton, created some unique projects, and we learned many new things. Christmas Around the World, the Causes of War Project, and the AR project fascinated me and taught me the most. I know you’ll be amazed to hear about them.
I learned so much from doing the Causes of War project. Yet, it was challenging. The most challenging part was probably understanding the words like Imperialism. Otherwise it was fun. We got to choose our own groups and we got to do a power point. What we do is we get into our groups and choose a war. Then with that war you do a project with it and on the project you have to have the causes of the war, have 5 important events, sources of info, and lots of other things.
Next is the AR project. The AR project is where you have to do a diorama on the first AR book you passed. Mine was on the first Harry Potter. I turned out really well.
Finally it’s time for the Christmas Around the World activity we did on December 23rd. Its Where you go to one of the three 5th grade classrooms at our school. And in each room there is a different activity. One activity is where you have a sheet of paper and you have questions in a different country like Switzerland about Christmas there.
Now you know why December was such a great month for me and we hope many more fascinating months come!

In class we had to write a letter to Santa and here it is!:)
Dear Santa, 12/17/10
What I would like for Christmas is a new PS2 game called Star Wars Battle Front 2, Madden 11, and NCAA Football 11. These particular games I thought were games I wanted because I have either played them before at a friend’s house, seen a commercial for it and thought it was cool, or have heard from a friend it’s a cool game. I also would like the while supplies lasts Mario DSIXL (stands for Double Screen I Extra Large). I would like this because it can take pictures, record things, and I have needed one for maybe recording my brother’s voice while he’s singing in the shower without him noticing. Merry Christmas!
Sincerely,
Noah Budach
