This week there was only 3 and a half school days. In Mrs.Levin's class we didn't prepare much for ISAT. We got a couple extended responses. Mrs.Levin taught us the KFC. We made colony keynotes. I used the Papyrus background for my keynote. Some people got to start voice-thread but I didn't. But 1st you had to make a script. I wasn't finished with my script so I couldn't do the voice-thread. While people were waiting to do voice-thread they did Type To Learn. In Type to Learn there our levels. In each level there is a lesson and a few games related to typing. You pass a level when you do all of the things on the checklist.

Ginger Zee comes to Greenbrair School distict 28 northbrook

Ginger Zee came to Greenbrair. She presented to the 4th graders. Ginger Zee came from Orange County, California. She moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan. During college she did a thing called Storm Chasers. Ginger Zee is a meteorologist. She talked about what her job was and what she did. For a tornado to form there has to be lift. The tornado starts sideways and then turns vertical. After that it starts going down to the ground. Once she went inside of a tornado in a machine that weighed a lot and stuck to the ground. She also said that they send weather balloons up in the air. They send two weather balloons a day. The balloon is made with tough fabric so it won't pop that easily. Inside they put an anemometer to measure the wind speed.

Nick always makes fun in school. Like when he made a beach party or bird calls. But in 5th grade their is Mrs.Granger. She loves dictionaries. When Nick tries to stall her he has to make a report on where words came from. Nick does his report and only leaves 8 minutes left of class. While walking home with Janet, Nick and Janet play a game walking on the curb. Then Janet sees a pen later she drops it and Nick picks it up and calls it a Frindle. Then a club starts and they say they will always say Frindle instead of pen. At school they start using it. Mrs.Granger says once this stops she will give him a letter. Mrs.Chapman goes to Nick's house and talks to his parents about Frindle. His Mom thinks it's fine and his Dad doesn't have anything to say. A newspaper reporter named Judy Morgan wants to know about Frindle. None of the teachers want her there but they tell her what she wants to know. She is walking home with the kids that stayed late and talks to 1 of them about Nick. Later she found out it was Nick. A reporter named Alice came with CBS and interviewed people at Nick's school. Then she went to Nick's house. His parents didn't trust reporters. So they tapped on Nick's foot when he shouldn't answer a question and they would answer it for him. His Dad went to Bud the person who was making Frindle products. Bud said he wanted to own the word. Nick's Dad said he could and Bud gave him $2,250 for Nick's bank and Nick would get 30% of the sales. Ten years later Nick got a package from Mrs.Granger it had a dictionary, a letter and an envelope. The letter said to go to page 541 of the dictionary. The word Frindle was in it. Mrs.Granger also gave him a Frindle. Nick gave Mrs.Granger a trust fund for the students at the school to go to college. He gave her a Frindle too.

A reporter named Alice came with CBS and interviewed people at Nick's school. Then she went to Nick's house. His parents didn't trust reporters. So they tapped on Nick's foot when he shouldn't answer a question and they would answer it for him. His Dad went to Bud the person who was making Frindle products. Bud said he wanted to own word. Leyton’s Christmas
Ding Dong Ding Dong. We are ringing the doorbell to Nanagran’s house. I like Christmas, two of the reasons are I play cootie and go bowling. Those are two of the reasons I like Christmas.
At Nanagran’s house like to play cootie with Nanagran. There is a board and parts of bugs. Each part has a number 1-6. First you roll a die. Whatever number you roll that’s the piece you get. 1 is the body, 2 is the head, 3 is the ears, 4 is the eyes, 5 is the mouth and 6 are the 6 legs.
When I go to Kansas I sometimes go bowling in Hays. Sometimes we do crazy bowling. 1 time I saw a person bowl into the other lane. When we are crazy bowling we sometimes go backward. It is fun bowling!
Those are some of the reasons why I like Christmas. I play Cootie and go bowling. I like Christmas!

My Thanksgiving Trip First 2 and a half days

On Monday my Mom and I drove to Overland Park, Kansas. It took 8 hours to get there. I visited my cousins Blake and Grant. My aunt Miss and my uncle Michael. Nanagran came too, I spent the night there with my Mom. The next morning Blake had a half day of school. At his school it was Grandparent's Day, so Nanagran came with him. Somewhere near 10:00 it was time for Blake's play. It was a great play. Earlier that morning Mom had helped me make a leaf pile. Blake and I played in it. Later we road in a wagon downhill in Blake's yard and crashed into the fence. We had a pizza party for dinner. Then we spent Tuesday night there. In the morning we left for Topeka. It only took a few hours to get there. When we got there we saw Austin and Justin my cousins, Paula my aunt. My uncle Shannon wasn't there I don't think he was there at least. In few minutes we left there house. Austin,Justin and aunt Paula. We started our drive to Hutchison.

For Halloween I was a dog. I had a fun time trick or treating. I had 2 pieces of uneatable candy. Those pieces had opened wrappers.They are probably in the trash can by now. I got lots of candy. One house gave out king size chocolate bar. I got lots of Tootsie rolls. I gave 1 to my Mom. It was a great Halloween.
