Year 6 Camp

Yay this is the day i'm going to camp! I have been waiting for this day for ages, i'm so excited.My sister went on Monday, and she says its really great but i want ot see for myself, well my bags are packed so lets go!!
We're here and the girls dorms are amazing i can't belive that i'm staying here for 3 days.my mums helping with parent help and she is helping with the dinghies and its my lucky day that i will be doing dinghies with her even though she is only helping on the first day.Its going to be so much fun!
The Burma Trail was so cool because we went up hill and down hill and even over rocks and through like caves and the second night we had a Marsmellow Fire it was so fun watching other peoples marsmellow's catching on fire and dropping down into the burning cinders of the fire.
Well the last day we did Top Town /in the rain!/ It was fun but the best activity was by far the Pig and Fish Toss and The Chicken Soup Throw well we have to go back to school so bye Lake Wakamaru Camp.

3.D Shapes in Maths

In maths we are learning to make 3.D shapes. I can make a rectangle prism and a triangle prism. It is really fun but it is really hard when you are shutting it up at the top when there is not really any room for your fingers to in.We have made all sorts of 3.D shapes in the classroom, and my teacher Mr Cunliffe has made a wall of the 3.D shapes we all have made and we have quite alot.

My favorite web-site i have to recomend has to be...
www.greenpeace.org
It has vidos of whales and you can even donate money to them for helping us.They helped us when people wanted to start mining and they stoped them and also the oil coming into the water.
So go on it and have a look around.

On Thursday i went to the Science Road-Show! It was the best thing ever and to explain what i liked i am going to use a 3/2/1!Here we go...
3# 3 things i found intresting was:
*Looking into a lightbulb
*Checking my blood-pressur
*Finding out how much oxergen was in the air(21%!)
2# 2 things that i learnt was:
*If you put a magnet next to a compass it won't work
*If you tap a bottle of coke or fizzy drink that has been shoke, it won't pour over the side
1# 1 thing that i want to find out more about is:
*The gases in the air

Swinging through the tall trees and making such a noise as the chimpanzee's play happily. Chimpanzee's stay in small numbers,they sometimes have 1 or 2 males in the group and the rest are females. Some chimpanzee's kill each other at night if they get into fight's. Chimpanzee's have an amazing brain like you and me. "Slurp!" thats the sound of them using a straw to suck up ants from a tree.Chimpanzee's only eat eat meat and plants.

To me being a year 6 has given me a chance to be a leader and to be a role model.It gives me chances to do stuff like being a bus-warden and looking after people on the bus if they get into trouble.The best subject i am good at has to be art and P.E and my worst subject has to be maths, but i am doing my best to do all the question i am able to do.Being a year 6 is hard work as well as fun and games.In assembly we have to sit up to show the rest of the school how to respect to the people at the front and to sing as long as possable.My teacher is one of a kind and he is really helpful.It has given me a chance to be a leader and to help people.It has given me lots to think about when i leave to secondry school.

My favourite teacher at school has to be,wait i have to think about it. No i don't it has to be my year six teacher Mr Cunliffe. He is super funny and helps you with subjects if you don't know it very well. He helped me with my maths seeming as i'm not very good at it!He might be a bit naggy at times but only to get your work done. He is fun to be around and makes up the best games in the whole world! He always teachs us new things. Everyday is fun like a rollar-coster of a ride and everyone thinks that too. I think he is the best teacher in the world.A nd i am super lucky to have him as a teacher!
