The Hunger Games Book Discussion Group What did you think about the way District 12 had to struggle for survival? At first I thought it seemed pretty extreme and unrealistic, but it made me think about what life might be like for countries struggling to recover after a war. This got me to thinking about how the animals on Animal Farm had to work so hard to survive, while the pigs lived in comfort. District 12 might not be so "far fetched" after all when you consider there will always be some power hungry humans. What do you think?
